The Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is the name of the unified armed forces of Uzbekistan, consisting of the Ground Force and the Air and Air Defence forces under the defence ministry. Cadets who study at the academy are enrolled for at least 2 years. It was the first institution of its kind to be established on the militaries of Central Asia. The school requires all cadets to be fluent in the Uzbek language as well as have a basic knowledge of Russian.

The cadets who graduated from the bachelor's degree at the academy are initially awarded the military rank of "lieutenant of medical service" and are issued a diploma in the specialty "military doctor".
