Paphos, sometimes spelled Pafos, is a coastal city in southwest Cyprus and is the capital of Paphos District. In classical antiquity, two locations were called Paphos: Old Paphos, today known as Kouklia, and New Paphos.
APOP Kinyras Peyias was a Cypriot football club from the village of Peyia of Paphos District. The club formed in 2003 following the merger of lower division outfits APOP Peyias FC and Kinyras Empas FC. The club's name APOP means Athlitikos Podosferikos Omilos Pegeias and Kinyras' name coming from the mythical king Kinyras who was the founder of Paphos. In the summer of 2012, after a large bankruptcy the club was dissolved.
Kouklia is a village in the Paphos District, about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from the city of Paphos on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. The village is built in the area of "Palaepaphos", mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty, which became the centre for her worship in the ancient world.
The Stelios Kyriakides Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Paphos, the stadium holds 9,394 people. It has a full size running track around the outside of its football and rugby playing field and is used for many athletics events throughout the year. It is regarded as one of the best pitches in Cyprus and situated ideally for the public. Until 25 May 2017 its name was Pafiako Stadium, but Cyprus Sport Organisation change its name to Stelios Kyriakides Stadium after marathon runner Stelios Kyriakides.
Chrysostomos II is the incumbent Archbishop of Cyprus. He was born in Tala village, Paphos.
Tsada is a relatively big village 8 km North of Paphos city center. Although the proximity between them, the 612 m elevation difference gives to the Tsada area a totally different identity. It receives 610 millimetres (24 in) of rainfall annually. The climate is much cooler all year long and it also is one of the few areas in the Paphos District that snows almost every year by the end of January. Tsada was the home village of EOKA national hero Evagoras Pallikarides. Although the history of the village can be counted 500 years ago, there is no significant architectural character, and only a few residences were reconstructed in the traditional way. It can be said that the only thing that makes the village special is the astonishing view towards Paphos and its sea. Currently mass development is taking place in nearby hills, with high-end luxury villas with panoramic views of Paphos and the Mediterranean Sea being constructed over the last 5 years. The Melisovouno hill between Tsada and Koili village hosts Paphos television and radio antenna.
The 2000–01 Cypriot First Division was the 62nd season of the Cypriot top-level football league. Omonia won their 18th title.
Kathikas is one of the Laona villages in the Paphos District of Cyprus. It is situated on a plateau 23 kilometers north of Paphos. It has an altitude of 655mand a population of 333. It is well known for its grape production, most notably Sultana grapes. It also has a flourishing agrotourism industry.
The 1980–81 Cypriot First Division was the 42nd season of the Cypriot top-level football league. Omonia won their 10th title.

Agia Varvara is a village located in the Paphos District of Cyprus. Prior to 1974, the village was largely inhabited by Turkish Cypriots. Afterwards, the Turkish Cypriot population was relocated to Karavas, Trachoni, Pentageia, Famagusta and Morphou and was partially replaced by displaced Greek Cypriots from the north.
Armou is a village in the Paphos District of Cyprus, located 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south-east of Mesogi. It has a panoramic view of Paphos. Armou is located 363m above sea level. The area has been inhabited since pre-Christian times, according to the findings now exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Paphos. The name of the community emerged from its first settler called Armos, while another version speaks of the “armos “ because of its location. A third version refers to the “arma ” of the goddess Aphrodite, which the goddess used in order to visit these places. Due to the village's location and environment, the village has attracted many Cypriot and foreign residents.
Philousa Chrysochous is a village in the Paphos District of Cyprus, located 12 km southeast of Polis Chrysochous. Is located at 427 metres (1,401 ft) above sea level. Located next to Lake Evretos, Filousa Chrysochous is adjacent to the village of Tremithousa of Paphos and is one of the small communities of the island, but it has many of the natural beauties of the Cypriot countryside. Specifically, the settlement is built on a green hillside with carob trees, olive and fruit trees, and overlooks from above the villages of the area. The village lies close to Simou, Zacharia and Sarama Village. The two abandoned villages of Evretou and Trimithousa are also nearby. Filousa Village was at one at the centre of 5 surrounding Turkish Cypriot villages in the area.

AE Kouklion was a football team based in Kouklia of Paphos District. It was founded on 20 October 1968 and was dissolved on 9 June 2014, in order to be merged with AEP Paphos and create a new team, Pafos FC.
The 2012–13 Cypriot First Division was the 74th season of the Cypriot top-level football league. It began on 1 September 2012 and ended on 19 May 2013. AEL Limassol were the defending champions. APOEL won the championship two matchweeks before the end of the season.
Ayios Andreas or Tophane is a Neighbourhood, Quarter, Mahalla or Parish of Nicosia, Cyprus. In September 1945, the Ottoman name of Tophane was changed to Ayios Andreas, but there is no parish church of that name.
Pafos FC is a Cypriot football team based in Paphos. The club was formed in 2014 after the merger of the biggest teams of Paphos district, based on the historical teams of APOP and Evagoras. Their home stadium is Stelios Kyriakides Stadium and they are currently competing in the Cypriot First Division.
