Pete Mescall, professionally known by his stage name DJ Mek or Pete Mescalero, is an Irish award-winning hip hop DJ/turntablist and producer. [1] He has won 5 Irish national Disco Mix Club championships and remixed/produced artists like Ian Brown, The Frames, [2] Zig and Zag [3] and Jon Carter's Monkey Mafia. [4] In 1989, he became the first DJ from the Republic of Ireland to enter the U.K. DMC Championships, and went on to win 5 Irish national titles. He was briefly banned from entering the championships but that decision was later overturned. [5] His group ScaryEire were the first Irish rap act to be signed to a major label. He retired from competitive mixing competitions in 2000 but returned in 2021 to place 5th in the DMC World Foundation Finals [6]

The Den was a long-running children's television strand of Ireland's public broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann. First broadcast on 29 September 1986 on RTÉ1, it moved to Network 2 two years later. Initially a continuity strand for weekday afternoon programmes, The Den later expanded during the late 1990s and the 2000s until it became synonymous with RTÉ's children's output. At various times during its run, it was known as Dempsey's Den, Den TV and Den2.

Jon Carter is an English electronic musician. He initially rose to prominence in the 1990s as a big beat DJ. Marco Antonio Rodriguez-Diaz, Jr. , better known by his stage name Infamous or DJ Infamous, is an American Grammy award winning record producer, and three time world champion winning DJ. Infamous, was a founding member of The-Allies DJ Crew and is perhaps best known for his work with American rapper Lil Wayne. Infamous has produced songs for prominent recording artists such as Drake, Jay-Z, Meek Mill, Fat Joe, Nas, Game, Lupe Fiasco, Charlie Puth and Kendrick Lamar, among others. Although his current discography consists predominantly of rappers, Infamous is a multi-instrumentalist, who was once the guitar player and songwriter for rock band Antenna, before meeting Lil Wayne.

Smells Like Saturday is a once weekly comedy/music/talk morning radio show presented by the puppet characters Zig and Zag. It is broadcast on Irish radio station 2FM and airs from 10:00-12:00 midday every Saturday morning. The characters present the show from the fictional "Studio Z’ which Zig and Zag claim is their old spaceship from the Eighties; the "Zogmobile" which means they can often fly the studio to exotic locations during the show. The shows theme tune is The Moog Cookbook’s instrumental cover version of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" where the radio show derived its title.

DJ Brace collaborates with Soul Khan, Ancient Astronauts, Kabanjak, Dubmatix, Vekked and various other artists. His music can also be heard on the Fox TV series Prison Break and on the Canadian TV channel CBC.

The 2019–20 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 50th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1970-71. The championship began on 20 October 2019 and ended on 19 January 2020.
