Devdatta Madhav Dharmadhikari (born 14 August 1940) is the former supreme court judge. He got in the office on 5 March 2002 and was retired on 13 August 2005. He was appointed as the chief justice of Gujarat High Court on 25 January 2000 before this. His father Yashwant Dharmadhikari was also a senior advocate. [1] [2] When Dharmadhikari committee ruled a decision to allocate 613 employees to Andhra Pradesh and 502 to Telangana in the power utility department, the Andhra Pradesh power utilities protested the same and called his report one sided. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is the premier investigating agency of India. Operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India. Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, commonly known by its former name Madras Law College, is a law school, located in Chennai (Madras), Tamil Nadu, India. It was renamed in 1990, as Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, by the Government of Tamil Nadu in commemoration of the birth centenary of B. R. Ambedkar, the father of Indian constitution. Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh is the regulatory and statutorily representative body for lawyers practicing law in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It was constituted as per the mandatory requirement as per Advocates Act, 1961 and Bar Council of India. In March 1953, the 'All India Bar Committee', headed by S. R. Das, submitted a report which proposed the creation of a bar council for each state and an all-India bar council as an apex body. Members of the Bar Council are elected from among members enrolled and practicing as lawyers in the state of Andhra Pradesh and they represent the state in Bar Council of India meetings. Bar Council of a place designs standards of professional conduct to be followed by members, and designs etiquettes and has the power to enforce disciplinary guidelines over the members of bar council.

Andhra Pradesh Lok Adalat or Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority(People's Court) is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism used in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a legal system to resolve pending cases at Panchayat or rural places, those in a pre-litigation stage in courts are resolved amicably. It is recognised as statutory authority under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 and the Lok Adalats award or decision are deemed to be civil court case and final and enforceable on both parties. Such an award is not appealable in any court of law in the absence of any provision. However, by approaching the court of appropriate jurisdiction, litigation can be initiated by any party in the suit if any of them are dissatisfied with the decision of the Lok Adalat.
