D Ravishankar (born 1 January 1976) is an Indian politician [1] from the state of Karnataka. He is a leader of Indian National Congress. [2] [3] He is Current MLA [4] [5] of Krishnarajanagara constituency in Mysore District. [6]
He contested in general assembly elections in 2023 from Krishnarajanagara Constituency. [7] [8] And won [9] [10] [11] [12] the seat by a huge margin. In 2018 assembly elections he lost to S. R. Mahesh of JDS party by 1779 votes. [13]
The University of Mysore is a public state university in Mysore,Karnataka,India. The university was founded during the reign of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV and the premiership of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission for offering higher studies degree courses on-campus as well as online. It was inaugurated on 27 July 1916. Its first chancellor was the maharaja himself;the first Vice-Chancellor was H. V. Nanjundaiah. This was the first university outside of British administered Indian provinces,the sixth in the Indian subcontinent as a whole,and the first in Karnataka. It is a state university of the affiliating type,and was deemed autonomous within the Republic of India on 3 March 1956,when it gained recognition from the University Grants Commission.
Siddaramaiah,also referred to by his nickname Siddu,is an Indian politician who is serving as the 22nd Chief Minister of Karnataka since 2023. He also held that position previously from 2013 to 2018,being only the second person to hold that office for a full five-year term. He belongs to the Indian National Congress and is presently the leader of the Congress Legislative Party. He represented the Varuna Assembly constituency from 2023,previously from 2008 to 2018,Badami Assembly constituency from 2018 to 2023,and from Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency from 2004 to 2007,1994 to 1999 and from 1983 to 1989 in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He also served as the Leader of the Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Assembly on two occasions from 2019 to 2023 and from 2009 to 2013. Siddaramaiah was a member of various Janata Parivar factions for several years.
Haradanahalli Devegowda Kumaraswamy,is an Indian politician,film producer and businessman who served as the 18th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 2018 to 2019 and previously from 2006 to 2007. He filed public interest litigation in High Court of Delhi against the negligence of the school authorities and Govt. officials and got a standard operating procedure issued by the court for the safety of approx. 50 Lakh school children of Delhi While holding the position of secretary of Delhi Gramin Samaj helped the farmers. He was a part of the protest against the Haryana government's move to acquire around 3,800 acres at Bawal for industrial development and got highlighted for the social cause on TOI in march 2013. He tabled the Motion in support of OROP in Delhi legislative Assembly on 25 June 2015.
