Shigeru Ishihara, better known by the stage name DJ Scotch Egg, is a Japanese producer of chiptune/gabba music based in Berlin, Germany. [1] [2]

Contents

He has released music on the Wrong Music label and Adaadat, and was signed to Load Records after Lightning Bolt were impressed by his music. [3] A new album entitled Scotch Hausen was released in Spring 2007.

Contributions with other artists include Ove-Naxx, Hrvatski (Keith Fullerton Whitman), Mike Paradinas, Duracell, Bong-Ra, The Pipettes and The Go! Team.[ citation needed ]

Shige has recorded improvised music collaboratively with Ashley Marlowe and Sam Dook under the moniker Same Things.[ citation needed ] Two tracks have so far been released through Junior Aspirin Records. [4] [5]

Chiptune, also known as chip music, is a style of synthesized electronic music made using the programmable sound generator (PSG) sound chips or synthesizers in vintage arcade machines, computers and video game consoles. The term is commonly used to refer to tracker format music which intentionally sounds similar to older PSG-created music, as well as music that combines PSG sounds with modern musical styles. KFC Core is the debut album from Tokyo-Brighton based artist DJ Scotch Egg. The album contains 12 tracks of chiptune and breakcore music which was allegedly recorded with a Game Boy, a loudspeaker, and effects pedals. The album also includes the song 'KFC Song', a song of Barbershop music which includes The Pipettes and The Go! Team. The final song, Scotch Orchestra, is basically a conversation between Shigeru and the staff of the London Road KFC in Brighton, about eating the fast food.

Travis Garland is an American singer and dancer. He is best known as the former lead singer of the boy band NLT which consisted of Kevin McHale, Justin Joseph "JJ" Thorne and V Sevani. They were discovered by Chris Stokes and signed to his TUG Entertainment-label in 2006. In May 2009, Garland confirmed on his Myspace page that the group had split. Garland is now a solo artist.

<i>The Panic Broadcast</i> 2010 studio album by Soilwork

The Panic Broadcast is the eighth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band Soilwork, released July 2 in Europe and July 13 in North America, 2010. The album marks the return of long-time Soilwork guitarist and founder Peter Wichers, who also picks up the role as the album's producer, though Wichers would leave Soilwork again in 2012. The album also features the debut of new guitarist Sylvain Coudret who replaced longtime guitarist Ola Frenning in 2008. Mixing was done by Jens Bogren. According to Nielsen SoundScan, The Panic Broadcast sold around 5,257 copies in its first week of sales in the United States. The album debuted at #88 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it their highest-charting album in their entire career at the time.

Fellsilent were a British heavy metal band from Milton Keynes. They possessed a technical, polyrhythmic style, similar to bands such as Meshuggah and Sikth. The band also focused on some melodic elements. They released their debut album The Hidden Words in 2008 which gained immediate popularity among metal fans. Touring with other British bands such as Enter Shikari and Exit Ten helped them to gain further popularity. In 2008, Fellsilent signed to US record label Sumerian Records.
