DT Next is an Indian English-language daily newspaper owned by Daily Thanthi Group, headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was launched on 1 November 2015 in Chennai, with Ninan Thariyan as CEO. [2] On 30 June 2021, Thariyan resigned, [3] and the following day, Yagna Balaji, [4] the editor and co-founder of the newspaper, took over as CEO. [5] However, as of March 2022, Thariyan has resumed being CEO. [6]

Dina Thanthi is India's largest daily printed in the Tamil language and the ninth largest among all dailies in India by circulation. It is printed in 16 cities across India and also prints an international edition in Dubai.

Kandasamy in 1977 and is currently owned by media conglomerate Sun Group's- Sun Network.Dinakaran is the second largest circulated Tamil daily in India after Dina Thanthi. It is printed in 12 cities across India. Dinakaran was founded in 1977 by K. P. Kandasamy after he split from Dina Thanthi owned by his father-in-law S. P. Kalyanasundaram Anbazhagan was an Indian Tamil politician. He was a long-standing leader of the Dravidian movement and was the General Secretary of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party (DMK) for nine terms. He has held several cabinet ministerial portfolios in the Tamil Nadu government under M. Karunanidhi including Finance, Education and Health and Social Welfare. He was elected as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on nine occasions. He was earlier elected to the Lok Sabha the lower house of India's Parliament from Tiruchengode and was also a member of the Madras Legislative Council. He served as the opposition leader of Tamil Nadu assembly from 2001 to 2006. He was popularly referred to as Perasiriyar (Professor), though he was a lecturer in Tamil in Pachaiyappa's College before resigning to contest elections in 1957.

Sivanthi Adityan was an Indian media baron who ran Tamil newspapers Daily Thanthi and Maalaimalar. Sivanthi started the first evening Tamil Daily Maalai Murasu at Tirunelveli in 1959. He was an educationist, an industrialist and a philanthropist. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India.

Si. Balasubramania Athithan 27 September 1905 – 24 May 1981), popularly called as "Adithanar", was an Indian lawyer, politician, minister and founder of the Tamil daily newspaper Dina Thanthi. He was the founder of the We Tamils party. He served as a member of the Madras Legislative Council for two terms and as a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly for four terms. He was the Speaker of the Assembly during 1967–68 and Tamil Nadu's minister for Cooperation in the M. Karunanidhi cabinets of 1969 and 1971. In his memory, two Tamil literary awards were created and are awarded annually by his son, Sivanthi Adithanar.

Edappadi Karuppa Palaniswami, often referred to by his initials E.P.S., is an Indian Tamil politician and the leader of opposition in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. He served as the 7th chief minister of Tamil Nadu, from 2017 to 2021. He has been the General Secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam since 28 March 2023, which was upheld by the Supreme Court of India on 23 February 2023. Palaniswami served as the Joint Coordinator of the AIADMK from 2017 to 2022 and Interim General Secretary of the AIADMK from 2022 to 2023. He also served as the Headquarters Secretary of the AIADMK from 2014 to 2022.

Hello FM (106.4,92.7,91.5 MHz) is one of the private radio stations operating from different locations in Tamil Nadu. It is owned by Malar publications, Chennai. It is licensed to use the FM band frequency 106.4 MHz. It started in 2006 broadcasting from Chennai and Coimbatore. Later, in 2007 it expanded its broadcast to other cities in Tamil Nadu such as Madurai, Thiruchirappalli, Thirunelveli, Thoothukudi and to the union territory of Puducherry.
