Released under the banner of Eye Core Films. The film stars Devi Damai and Parimal Damai in the lead roles. The film released on 1 September 2016 in Nepal. [2] [3] [4]

Plot

In a small village in Nepal two elderly couples Atimaley and Devi are only living persons in the village. They have to leave their village after their neighbor leaves without any notice to protect their memory. [5]

Music of Nepal refers to the various musical genres played and listened to in Nepal. With more than fifty ethnic groups in Nepal, the country's music is highly diverse. Kagbeni is a 2008 Nepali movie, loosely based on W. W. Jacobs's 1902 horror short story The Monkey's Paw. Kagbeni is the directorial debut of Bhusan Dahal. The name of the movie is taken from a tourist place Kagbeni in the valley of the Kali Gandaki, which is a two-hour trek from Muktinath. Kagbeni is considered to be a movie which changed the way people look at Nepali cinema, because it is seen as the first successful non-commercial movie in Nepal which was able to leave its mark in the film industry. by Nepali critics now often describe non-commercial movies as 'post- Kagbeni era films'. Kagbeni was one of the few Nepali films during its time to manifest cinematography as one of the important elements in cinema.

Sunakali is a 2015 documentary film directed by Bhojraj Bhat and produced by Good Neighbours Nepal. Sunakali is about a girls' football team that overcomes all obstacles to play football, finally attaining glory. It stars local girls from the Mugu district of remote Nepal which also lies in a mountainous region. Bhat's interest in the subject matter rose from this journalistic experience and an opportunity to highlight the aspects of the majority of Nepalese society that thwart their progress. Production began in early 2000 with Bhat covering the Maoist insurgency in remote areas of Nepal. Upon its release, Sunakali received tremendous acclaim and awards from all over the world. It has received awards like Best Documentary Diamond Award and has been officially selected at Kendal Mountain Film Festival. "Melancholy" is an environmentally-themed song sung by 365 Nepali artists. This song was intended to promote an environmental message by breaking the Guinness World Records for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording", which it successfully did. It was written, music composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka. The song was recorded as a single on 19 May 2016. The recording sessions were inaugurated by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli at 8 am and continued until 6 pm. The song was released on 2 September 2017 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Army Officer's Club, Kathmandu.

He made his directorial debut in 2012 with the crime-thriller Loot and wrote screenplay for the film. The film focuses on Hakku Kale, who masterminds a bank robbery. The film received mixed reviews from the critics, some of whom criticized the script for not being original. According to The Kathmandu Post, the film "changed the discourse of the Nepali film industry". Loot earned 25.5 million Nepalese rupees, making it Nepal's highest-grossing film of 2012. Basnet went on to win the Dcine Award for Best Debut Director. In 2014, Basnet acted in and produced Ram Babu Gurung's romantic drama Kabaddi. In the film, Basnet plays Bibek, who tries to abduct a gangster's daughter. The same year, Basnet directed the dark comedy Talakjung vs Tulke. The film is set during the Nepalese Civil War, which lasted from 1996 to 2006. Basnet won the Film Critics Society of Nepal Award for Best Director and the National Film Award for Best Director. Basain is a 1957 Nepali novel written by Lil Bahadur Chettri. It was published by Sajha Prakashan and is included in the curriculum of Tribhuvan University. Chettri, an Assamese Nepali writer wrote this book incorporating the experience of different Nepalese immigrants in India. The book depicts life of a poor farmer and his family in a rural village in hilly Nepal and the circumstances under which they are forced to emigrate away from their village.
