Dagaari, also known as Balli Dagar Uen, is a town in the north-central Mudug region of Galmudug state of Somalia, located east of Banderadley.

A notable person from this town was General Abdiaziz Abdullahi (nicknamed Qooje Dagaari) who was the 21st division commander of the Somali National Army. [1]

Mohamed Abdullahi Moalim Aden, commonly known as Mohamed AdenTiiceey, is a Somali politician, founder and former president of the unrecognized autonomous state, Himan and Heeb.

On 18 December 2020, an al-Shabaab suicide bomber attacked Galkayo, Somalia. He targeted a political rally held in a sports stadium where the Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble was scheduled to speak. The bombing killed 17 people, including several high-ranking officials.
