Dakini is a 2018 Malayalam-language adventure comedy film directed by Rahul Riji Nair starring Aju Varghese, Pauly Valsan, Sarasa Balussery, Savithri Sreedharan, Sethu Lakshmi, Alencier and Chemban Vinod. [1] [2] It was produced under the banner of Universal Cinema & Urvasi Theatres Release. [3] [4] The movie revolves around four elderly women. [5]
Four granies namely , Mollykutty, Saroja, Rosemary and Vilasini lives with their helper Jeemon. They learn things like WhatsApp with the help of Jeemon. [6]
Kuttan Pilla who was the lover of Mollykutty who left her in their young age comes back. Kuttan Pilla betrays a local don named Mayan in a hawala dealing and escapes with money. Maayan kidnaps Kuttan Pillai. [7]
In the later part these four grandmother's with the help their aid and his friend Vikraman Parudeesa a local gangster helps them.These elderly women call Maayan as Dakini (cartoon character from Mayavi). Later they saves Kuttan Pillai from the hands of Maayan. [8]
Dakini was released on 18 October 2018. [10]
The Times of India gave the film a rating of 3.5/5 [11] and Mathrubhumi gave the film a rating of 1.5/5. [12]
Sreekumar Achary, better known by his stage name Jagathy Sreekumar or simply Jagathy, is an Indian actor, director and playback singer, who has appeared in over 1500 Malayalam films in a career spanning almost four decades. Widely regarded as the greatest comedian in the history of Malayalam cinema, he is also known for his highly nuanced character roles. He is the son of acclaimed dramaturge and writer, the late Jagathy N. K. Achary.
K. Bhaskaran Nair, known by his stage name Adoor Bhasi, was an Indian actor and film director from Kerala. Adoor Bhasi was almost always cast as the man who stands next to the hero. His hilarious actions and roles became the cynosure of comic scenes in the Malayalam films of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, especially with Ever Green Hero of Malayalam Cinema, Shri Prem Nazir. He is also famous for his eloquent speeches in fluent English. He directed three Malayalam films during the late 1970s.
Padiyath Kochumoideen Kunjalu, known by his stage name Bahadoor, was an Indian actor and comedian who, along with Adoor Bhasi, redefined the way in which comedy and funny scenes were perceived in the Malayalam cinema. They made a significant contribution toward establishing comedy as the predominant genre of Malayalam cinema. Bahadoor also appeared in some serious roles and in professional plays. His last film was Joker, which released shortly after his death.

Sudani from Nigeria is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language sports drama film written and directed by Zakariya Mohammed, with dialogues co-written by Muhsin Parari. Shyju Khalid was the cinematographer, who also produced the film with Sameer Thahir. It stars Soubin Shahir, with Samuel Abiola Robinson as the titular character.
