He played college football for the Louisville Cardinals and was selected in the eighth round of the 1983 NFL Draft. He played with the Dolphins until 1992, earning five Pro Bowl and three second-team All-Pro selections. He finished his career playing one season with the Green Bay Packers in 1993.

He held or currently holds dozens of NFL records associated with the quarterback position, and despite never being on a Super Bowl-winning team, he is recognized among the greatest quarterbacks in American football history.

Daniel Patrick Quinn is an American football coach who is the head coach of the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). Born in New Jersey, he attended Salisbury University and competed in the hammer throw and as a defensive lineman for their football team in the early 1990s. Quinn later coached defensive lines in college prior to joining the NFL in 2001. He was the defensive coordinator of the Legion of Boom-era Seattle Seahawks that appeared in two consecutive Super Bowls, winning XLVIII.
Robert Francis Callahan was an American football player. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Beaumont High School where he was the captain of the football and basketball teams. He played college football as a center for the University of Missouri in 1942, but his education was interrupted by two years in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. After being discharged from the Marines, Callahan played football as a tackle and center for the University of Michigan in 1945 and 1946.
Jim Callahan is a former American football player and author who currently resides in Anna Maria, Florida. Callahan was selected in the eighth round of the 1969 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. Callahan was recruited out of college by future National Football League (NFL) general manager Bobby Beathard and signed a contract with the Falcons one month later.
