Dan Dodd (born February 15,1978) is a former Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives who represented the 91st District from 2007 to 2010. A lawyer by trade,Dodd practiced with Robert J. Dodd,Jr. Co. LPA in New Lexington,Ohio. While elected to office in 2006 and reelected in 2008,Dodd lost a third term in 2010.
He has since become the executive director of the Ohio Association of Independent Schools. [1]
The Big Ten Conference is the oldest Division I collegiate athletic conference in the United States. Founded as the Intercollegiate Conference of Faculty Representatives in 1896,it predates the founding of its regulating organization,the NCAA. It is based in the Chicago area in Rosemont,Illinois. For many decades the conference consisted of 10 prominent universities. As of 2014,it consists of 14 member institutions and 2 affiliate institutions,with 4 new member institutions scheduled to join in 2024. The conference competes in the NCAA Division I and its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS),formerly known as Division I-A,the highest level of NCAA competition in that sport.
The Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the Midwestern and Southeastern United States. It participates in Division I of the NCAA;the conference's football programs compete in partnership with the Big South Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision,the lower of two levels of Division I football competition. The OVC has 11 members,six of which compete in football in the conference.
Christopher John Dodd is an American lobbyist,lawyer,and Democratic Party politician who served as a United States senator from Connecticut from 1981 to 2011. Dodd is the longest-serving senator in Connecticut's history. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1975 to 1981.
Lloyd Henry Carr Jr. is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Michigan from 1995 through the 2007 season,replacing Gary Moeller. Under Carr,the Michigan Wolverines compiled a record of 122–40 and won or shared five Big Ten Conference titles. Carr's undefeated 1997 team was declared the national champion by the Associated Press. His record coaching against top ten-ranked opponents was 20–8. Carr was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 2011.

Luke Joseph Fickell is an American football coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers. Previously he was the head football coach at the University of Cincinnati,a position he held from 2016 through November 2022. Fickell played college football as a nose guard at Ohio State University from 1993 to 1996 and then was an assistant coach for the Buckeyes. He was interim head coach at Ohio State for the entire 2011 season.

The 2022 Ohio gubernatorial election was held on November 8,2022,to elect the governor of Ohio. Incumbent Republican Governor Mike DeWine won re-election to a second term in a landslide,defeating Democrat nominee Nan Whaley,the former mayor of Dayton,62.4% to 37.4%. DeWine's 25-point victory marked the continuation of a trend in which every incumbent Republican governor of Ohio since 1994 has won re-election by a double-digit margin.
