Dan Fortin is general manager of IBM Canada Ltd., and thus is responsible for strategic and day-to-day operations of IBM in Canada. Named to his current position in January 2005, Fortin leads 20,000 staff. [1]

Fortin joined IBM in 1978 and has held several marketing and management positions overseeing divisions in Canada, the United States and Latin America. [2]

Fortin is a native of Quebec. [2] He graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Carleton University in Ottawa. [3]

Jean M.J. Fréchet is a French-American chemist and Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley. He is the head of the Division of Materials Synthesis and Materials Science of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Director of the Organic and Macromolecular Facility for the Molecular Foundry at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Vice-President for research at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. IBM Canada Head Office Building

IBM Canada's head offices are currently located in Markham, Ontario and have been there since the early 1980s. Dany Fortin Canadian military officer

Dany Fortin is a Canadian Armed Forces officer who holds the rank of major general in the Canadian Army. He served as the Public Health Agency of Canada's (PHAC) vice president of logistics and operations from November 27, 2020 to May 14, 2021, leading the federal government's COVID-19 vaccine rollout. He left the role pending a military investigation. He has served in commanding roles in the War in Afghanistan and the ISIL insurgency in Iraq. He commanded the 1st Canadian Division Headquarters and also served in a foreign exchange billet as the Deputy Commanding General for I Corps of the United States Army.
