Dance 2 Trance were a German techno duo composed of Rolf Ellmer and DJ Dag Lerner. [1] They are most known for their 1992 hit single "Power of American Natives" and also had a small number of other singles in the mid-1990s. The duo were associated with Jam & Spoon.
DJ Dag and Jam El Mar met in 1990, when they decided to work together. Their first release was in the same year, a promo named "Dance 2 Trance" on the Suck Me Plasma label, the release contained two tracks ("Dance 2 Trance" and "We Came In Peace"). They got their commercial break in 1992 with the release of "Power of American Natives" with vocals from Linda Rocco. The song sold 250,000 records and was awarded a gold disc. [2] A video was made for the song, and reached the mainstream networks such as MTV. The track later received remixes in 1997, 1998 and 2009. In 1992, they released their first album, Moon Spirits. Dance 2 Trance released another album in 1995 called Revival.
In 1995, both Dag & Jam El Mar decided to go their separate ways, with DJ Dag going solo and Ellmer concentrating more on his other side project, Jam & Spoon. In response, the German label Blow Up released a CD compilation album in 1996, consisting of thirteen Dance 2 Trance tracks from their five-year career.

Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged from EBM in Frankfurt, Germany, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and quickly spread throughout Europe.
Grace was a 1990s British dance music act, consisting of the DJs Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne and the jazz singer Dominique Atkins. The group's first single, "Not Over Yet", had lead and backing vocals by the original frontwoman Patti Low. Atkins recorded her own lead vocals for "Not Over Yet" when it was included as the first track on the group's only album If I Could Fly.
Jam & Spoon were a German electronic music duo formed in 1991 in Frankfurt. The group consisted of composers and producers Rolf Ellmer and Markus Löffel. They also worked under the pseudonyms Tokyo Ghetto Pussy, Storm and Big Room. Under these pseudonyms, the credits on the albums are listed as Trancy Spacer and Spacy Trancer.
Rolf Johannes Ellmer is a classically trained musician and composer (concert-guitarist) and has become one of Germany's most well known producers in the techno and trance scene.
Mark Spoon was a disc jockey, musician and record producer from Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Together with Rolf Ellmer he recorded under several monikers, including Jam & Spoon, Tokyo Ghetto Pussy and Storm. He also produced and remixed many other artists as well as becoming a veteran performer many times at Berlin's Love Parade.
"Right in the Night (Fall in Love with Music)" is a song by German electronic music duo Jam & Spoon, released by JAM! and Dance Pool as the second single from the duo's second album, Tripomatic Fairytales 2001 (1993). It is a Eurodance song with elements from progressive and vocal trance. It is based on "Leyenda" by the classical composer Isaac Albéniz and features vocals by American vocalist Plavka, with lyrics by Nosie Katzmann. The flamenco-styled riff in the song is played by duo member Jam El Mar, who was trained as a classical guitarist.

"Boom! Shake the Room" is a song by American hip hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. The track samples the 1973 song "Funky Worm" by the Ohio Players. Released on July 16, 1993 by Jive, as the second single from the duo's fifth studio album, Code Red (1993), the single peaked at number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts of Australia, Ireland, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Its music video was directed by Scott Kalvert.
"Get Ready for This" is a song recorded by Belgian/Dutch music group 2 Unlimited. It was released in 1991 as the lead single from their debut album, Get Ready! (1992). Originally, the single was produced as an instrumental, titled the "Orchestral Mix". It became a hit and conscious of their popularity, Wilde & De Coster wanted a more accessible, formatted formula for their project to grow. Ray was then asked to write lyrics and add a rap to the track. On Ray Slijngaard's suggestion, Anita Doth joined as the female vocalist.
"Not Over Yet" is a song by British dance act Grace. Originally released in 1993 under the band name State of Grace, it was re-released in March 1995 as the first single from their only album, If I Could Fly (1996). It received critical acclaim from music critics, peaking at number six on the UK Singles Chart and number-one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Lead vocals and backing vocals were performed by singer Patti Low. In 1995, the lead vocals were replaced by new frontwoman and singer, Dominique Atkins for the album release, although Low's backing vocals remained in place. This Atkins/Low combination appeared on all subsequent re-releases and remixes of the track. The woman who appears in the accompanying music video is Low.
Prezioso & Marvin is an Italo dance dance trio group founded in 1999 and made up of brothers Andrea and Giorgio Prezioso in addition to Alessandro Moschini, known as Marvin. Prior to 1999, and starting from 1993, the brothers Andrea and Giorgio Prezioso were known as the duo Prezioso. With Giorgio Prezioso taking a hiatus in 2007 to move to his own project Giorgio Prezioso & Libex, Prezioso & Marvin became a duo. But Giorgio returned to the formation in 2009.

"Hand in Hand (Looking for Sweet Inspiration)" is a song by English electronic music group Opus III, released in 1994 as the second single from their second album Guru Mother. It peaked at No. 79 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 14 on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.
"Home and Dry" is a song by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys, released on 18 March 2002 as the first UK single and the second US single from their eighth studio album, Release (2002). It reached number 14 on the UK Singles Chart and number 44 on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart.
"Find Me (Odyssey to Anyoona)" is a song by German electronic music duo Jam & Spoon featuring American singer Plavka, released in July 1994 by JAM! and Dance Pool as the third single from their second album, Tripomatic Fairytales 2001 (1993). Written by Jam El Mar and Mark Spoon with Nosie Katzmann, the song was the follow-up to their successful hit single "Right in the Night" in 1993. It reached number one in Finland and number six in Italy, while in the United Kingdom and Australia, it peaked at number 22 in both countries. "Find Me (Odyssey to Anyoona)" also entered the Eurochart Hot 100 on 30 July 1994, peaking at number 19 on 27 August. The accompanying music video for the song was A-listed on Germany's VIVA in August 1994.
"Offshore" is a song by English electronic music producer Chicane, released on 9 December 1996 as the lead single from his debut album, Far from the Maddening Crowds (1997). The song reached number five in the United States on Billboard's Dance Club Play chart, number 12 in Ireland and number 14 in the United Kingdom. A bootleg by Australian DJ Anthony Pappa was given an official release in 1997 titled "Offshore '97". This version peaked at number 17 in the UK.
"Mr. DJ" is a song by Sweden-based musician and producer Dr. Alban, released as a double-single with "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" in 1997. It was the lead single from his fifth studio album, I Believe (1997), and has been described as a typical Dr. Alban song, but updated to incorporate more progressive house and trance. Featuring backing vocals by singer Monica Löfgren, it was very successful in Spain, peaking at number three on the Spanish singles chart. Additionally, it peaked at number six in Sweden and number eight in Finland, and also charted in Austria and Germany. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the single peaked at number 79. German DJ/production team Sash! made remixes of the track. A music video was also produced to promote the single.

The song was written by German music writer Nosie Katzmann, who also wrote the duos former hits, "Right in the Night" and "Find Me ". "Angel" peaked at number two in Italy and number three in Finland. Additionally, it reached number 26 in the UK, number 28 in Switzerland, and number 30 in Germany. Marcus Nispel directed the music video for the song.
"Time to Burn" is a song by German electronic music duo Storm, also known as Jam & Spoon. It was released as the fourth single from Storm's only studio album, Stormjunkie, in May 2000. A hard house and dark trance song, the track was written and produced by Storm members Rolf Ellmer and Markus Löffel under the pseudonyms Trancy Spacer and Spacy Trancer. "Time to Burn" became the duo's highest-charting single on the UK Singles Chart when it peaked at number three in August 2000, and it also became a top-40 hit in Belgium, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The song is certified silver in the United Kingdom for shipping over 200,000 copies.
