The fifth series of Dancing with the Stars premiered on TV One on 3 March 2009. All four judges from series 4 returned. On its opening night, over 800,000 people tuned in to watch the first show premiere. Rebecca Hobbs is sister to Christopher Hobbs. John Rowles withdrew in week three for health reasons. [1] This series had the closest final ever experienced on the New Zealand show.

Bailando Por un Sueño: Segundo Campeonato Mundial de Baile was a TV show, where celebrities and dancers from a variety of dance shows, including Bailando por un Sueño, Dancing With the Stars, and So You Think You Can Dance, competed to obtain the Bicentenary Cup and to accomplish the dream of a Mexican family. It began on May 9, 2010 and finished on July 11, 2010, hosted by Yuri and Liza Echeverria. The show was aired at 19:00 on Sunday, by Canal de las Estrellas.

Dancing with the Stars was a Greek reality show airing on ANT1 and filmed live in Athens. The show was based on the United Kingdom BBC Television series Strictly Come Dancing and was part of BBC Worldwide's Dancing with the Stars franchise. The theme song was "It's personal" performed by Swedish indie pop band The Radio Dept. The second season of the show started on March 20, 2011. Season's 1 winner Errika Prezarakou joined the judging panel, replacing Galena Velikova. ANT1 launched a daily spin off titled "Dancing with the Stars Daily" on March 21, hosted by former contestant Eugenia Manolidou. The show was canceled on April due to low ratings.

Dancing with the Stars is a first season on BBTV Channel 7 in Thailand. The show is the Thai version of the British television series Strictly Come Dancing. Sornram Teppitak, Thai actor and Thai pop singer, hosts with co-host Morakot Kittisara, Miss Thailand Universe 2004.
