Daniel DeSanto is a Canadian actor.

Early life

Raised in the Toronto suburb of Etobicoke, DeSanto made his acting debut at the age of 8 as the lead protagonist in Brown Bread Sandwiches (a.k.a. La famiglia Buonanotte), a film about Italian immigrants in Toronto written and directed by Carlo Liconti. Prior to his first screen role, DeSanto had been in a juice commercial with Canadian figure skating star Elizabeth Manley, and was an avid hockey player. [1] [2] He later attended Martingrove Collegiate Institute and graduated in 1999.[ citation needed ] After attending MCI, he then attended Ryerson University for Film Studies. [3]

DeSanto is best known for playing Tucker on Are You Afraid of the Dark? , [3] his 2004 role as Jason in Mean Girls , [3] The Assassin in The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day , [4] Matt in The Adventures of Dudley the Dragon , the TV show The Magic School Bus in which he voices Carlos Ramon, and for voicing Ray on the Beyblade [3] series and voicing Blaine on Totally Spies! . [3] DeSanto also provided the voice of Dave in Total Drama Pahkitew Island .

<i>The Boondock Saints</i> 1999 film by Troy Duffy

The Boondock Saints is a 1999 American-Canadian vigilante action thriller film written and directed by Troy Duffy in his feature directorial debut. Starring Willem Dafoe, Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, David Della Rocco, and Billy Connolly, the film follows Irish fraternal twin brothers Connor and Murphy MacManus, who become vigilantes after killing two members of the Russian mafia in self defense. After both experience an epiphany, the twins, together with their best friend "Funny Man" Rocco (Rocco), set out on a mission to rid Boston of the criminal underworld in the name of God, all the while being pursued by FBI Special Agent Paul Smecker (Dafoe).
