Career
Silvestri debuted in 1994, releasing his eponymous album. The set received a Targa Tenco for Best Debut Album. [1] In 1995, he competed in the Newcomers' Section of the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "L'uomo col megafono". [2] The track was included in his second studio album, Prima di essere uomo, whose second single, "Le cose che abbiamo in comune", became a radio hit in 1995 and received the Targa Tenco for Song of the Year. [3]
In 1996 Silvestri released a double studio album, Il dado. [4] His following studio set, Sig. Dapatas, was released in 1999, after Silvestri's appearance as a contestant of the Big Artists section in the Sanremo Music Festival with the track "Aria", which received the Mia Martini Critics' Award. [5] [6] In 2000, he released his first greatest hits album, Occhi da orientale, launched by the single with the same name, released in September of the same year. [7]
In 2002, Silvestri released the single "Salirò", which won the Critics' Award at the Sanremo Music Festival of the same year and became a top 5 hit in Italy. [8] [9] In December of the same year, the song received four Italian Music Awards for Song of the Year, Composition of the Year, Best Italian Arrangement and Best Italian Music Video. [10]

Immediately after being eliminated from the competition, she released her debut single, "Briciole", which peaked at number 2 on the FIMI Singles Chart. As of 2022, she has released 6 studio albums, which spawned commercially successful singles such as "Vuoto a perdere", "Sono solo parole", "Makumba", "La borsa di una donna", "Glicine" and the chart toppers "L'amore si odia", featuring vocals by Fiorella Mannoia, and "Per tutta la vita". She dueted with Italian band Stadio and with rapper Fedez, among others, and her single "Makumba", a duet with Carl Brave, became a summer hit in 2021. Noemi performed songs for the soundtrack of Italian films Women vs. Men and Domani è un altro giorno, receiving a special Nastro d'Argento award in 2019.

He released his debut album in 2000 and he achieved commercial success in 2007, after winning the Newcomers' Section of the Sanremo Music Festival with his entry "Pensa". The song became a number-one hit in Italy, while the album with the same title was certified gold by the Italian Music Industry Federation.

Michele Zarrillo is an Italian singer-songwriter. He is mainly known for hits such as "Una rosa blu", "Cinque giorni", L'elefante e la farfalla and "La notte dei pensieri". In 1987 he won the Sanremo Music Festival, competing in the newcomers' section. Zarrillo took part in the competition several other times, the last time in 2020 with the song "Nell'estasi o nel fango". He took part in Sanremo's competition 13 times, but only won once, as stated above.

After performing in several Italian music festivals, he enlarged his popularity in 2021, competing for the first time in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Santa Marinella". His second studio album was released shortly after, and became his first top-5 entry on the FIMI Italian Albums Chart.

The Targa Tenco is a prize awarded annually by the Club Tenco. Founded in 1984, it has a large jury of 200 journalists and critics awarding the best works of the year. It is considered the most prestigious award in Italian music.
