Danielle Brown is an American ballet dancer. She joined Florida's Sarasota Ballet in 2007 where she is now a principal dancer.
Born in Libertyville, Illinois, she began her ballet training at Dance Academy of Libertyville with summer courses at Milwaukee Ballet School and American Ballet Theatre. After completing her training at North Carolina School of the Arts, she joined Ballet Austin as an apprentice. After a year with the Nashville Ballet, she joined the Sarasota Ballet in 2007. [1] [2]
Brown's repertoire has included Frederick Ashton's Façade, The Two Pigeons, and Les Patineurs and George Balanchine's Allegro Brillante. She has also performed as a principal in works by Mikhail Fokine, John Cranko, Kenneth MacMillan and Peter Darrell. [2] In 2013, she danced the demanding ten-minute-long Pas de Deux when she partnered Ricardo Graziano in Balanchines Diamonds at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. [3] In May 2014, she performed with "a confident richness of texture and detail" in Valses Nobles et Sentimentales and in Birthday Offering at Sarasota's Frederick Ashton Festival. [4] [5]

Dame Alicia Markova DBE was a British ballerina and a choreographer, director and teacher of classical ballet. Most noted for her career with Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes and touring internationally, she was widely considered to be one of the greatest classical ballet dancers of the twentieth century. She was the first British dancer to become the principal dancer of a ballet company and, with Dame Margot Fonteyn, is one of only two English dancers to be recognised as a prima ballerina assoluta. Markova was a founder dancer of the Rambert Dance Company, The Royal Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, and was co-founder and director of the English National Ballet.

She is professor emerita of English at the City College of the City University of New York (CUNY), where she taught for 29 years. She has published several works, including on the life of Wallace Stevens. Prior to her academic career, under her maiden name, Barbara Milberg, she danced with the short-lived Ballet Society, founded by George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein; became soloist with the New York City Ballet (NYCB) in its first decade; and then joined Jerome Robbins's newly formed Ballets: USA, touring Europe and the States with that company as a principal dancer.

Ricardo Graziano is a Brazilian ballet dancer and choreographer. After five years with the Tulsa Ballet, he joined Florida's Sarasota Ballet in 2010 where he is a principal dancer and choreographer.
Iain Webb is an English ballet dancer and choreographer who formerly danced for the Royal Ballet in London. He is currently artistic director of Florida's Sarasota Ballet where he has staged many of Frederick Ashton's ballets.
Oksana Skorik is a Russian professional ballet dancer and Principal Dancer of the Mariinsky Ballet. She graduated from Perm School of Dance in 2007 and joined the Mariinsky Ballet the same year. She was the subject of David Kinsella's documentary A Beautiful Tragedy and was featured on RT Documentary's Ballet, Sweat and Tears.
Momoko Hirata is a Japanese principal dancer for the Birmingham Royal Ballet. She attended the Reiko Yamamoto Ballet School before enrolling in the Royal Ballet School in the London, England. She won the 2001 Prix de Lausanne and joined the Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2003. She was promoted to First Artist in 2005, Soloist in 2008, and First Soloist in 2010. She briefly danced with the Barcelona Ballet as a principal dancer in 2012, before returning to the Birmingham Royal Ballet where she was promoted to Principal in 2013.
Paul Boos is an American dancer, balletmaster, archivist, and répétiteur. He danced with New York City Ballet from 1977 until 1990 before becoming a guest teacher for the Royal Danish Ballet. In addition to teaching internationally, he is part of a select group of répétiteurs sanctioned by the Balanchine Trust to set the ballets of George Balanchine and the Project Associate to the George Balanchine Foundation's Interpreters Archive.
Mona Elly Hou Vangsaae (1920–1983) was a Danish ballet dancer, choreographer and instructor. At the Royal Danish Theatre, thanks to her excellent technique and dramatic versatility she became a soloist in 1942, taking roles in Bournonville's productions and in works by the Danish choreographers Nini Theilade and Harald Lander. The roles of Julie in Frederick Ashton's Romeo and Juliet and Aili in Birgit Cullberg's The Moon Reindeer were created for her. After retiring from the stage in 1962, she became an instructor for Bournonville's ballets together with her son Peter Schaufuss.
