Danielle Wotherspoon-Gregg (born April 13, 1980) is a Canadian speedskater from Red Deer, Alberta. She competes primarily in the short distances of 500m and 1000 m. Wotherspoon-Gregg qualified to compete at the 2014 Olympic Games as part of the Canadian team where she skated in the 500m event. She is the sister to Canadian speedskater Jeremy Wotherspoon and is married to teammate and 500 m speedskater Jamie Gregg, now retired, since June 1, 2013; they have three sons. [2] Her sister is international speed skater Sarah Gregg.

He won a second individual medal at those games, a bronze in the 1500 m. With four total Olympic medals, Morrison shares the record for the most medals of any Canadian male long track speed skaters along with Gaétan Boucher.

Short-track speed skating at the Winter Olympics

Short-track speed skating has been a contest at the Winter Olympics since the 1992 Winter Games in Albertville, France. Prior to that, it was a demonstration sport at the 1988 games. The results from the 1988 demonstration competition are not included in the official Olympic statistics. The sport has been dominated by teams from East Asia and North America, namely South Korea, China, Canada and the United States. Those four countries have won 147 of 195 medals awarded since 1992. South Korea leads the medal tally, with 53 medals including 26 golds since 1992. The majority of medals that South Korea and China have won at the Winter Olympics come from short-track speed skating.

He is a canadian short track speed skater, racing internationally from 2002 to 2015 and switched to long track speed skating, competing internationally from 2015 to 2018. Olivier competed at his second Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 in short track speed skating, and for his third game appearance, switched to long track speed skating, competing in the mass start at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games. His appearance is well-known for his dreadlocks and for listening to reggae, which he says makes him skate faster.

Eduardo Cortes Alvarez is a Cuban-American professional baseball infielder in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins. Prior to his baseball career, he was a short track speed skater and baseball player who represented the United States and medaled at the 2014 Winter Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics. He is the sixth athlete and third American ever to medal in both the Summer and Winter Olympics in different disciplines. After his MLB debut on August 5, 2020, Alvarez became the first Winter Olympics athlete and the first non-baseball Olympian since Jim Thorpe to play Major League Baseball. Only Alvarez and Jim Thorpe have played Major League Baseball and won an Olympic Medal in another sport.

Laurent Dubreuil is a Canadian speed skater. He competes primarily in the short distances of 500 m and 1000 m. Dubreuil won his first World Cup medal during the 2014–15 season when he placed third in the World Cup stop in Seoul. He won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Single Distance Championships and a silver medal in the 1000m at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Erin Jackson is an American speed skater, roller derby player, and Olympic gold medalist. Jackson is the first Black woman to win a Winter Olympic gold medal in an individual sport. She qualified for The World Games 2017 in Wroclaw, Poland, where she competed in inline speed skating in various distances on road and track. She also qualified to compete in the 500 meters long track speed skating event at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
