The Danish Union of Librarians (BF) is a trade union in Denmark. It has a membership of 5500, and is affiliated with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.

The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions is a national trade union center, decidedly the largest and probably the most influential umbrella organization of labour unions in Norway. The 21 national unions affiliated to the LO have almost 1,000,000 members of a Norwegian population of 5 million. The majority of affiliated unions organizes traditional blue collar workers, but the largest affiliate is the Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees which makes up more than a third of all members. LO is affiliated to the ITUC and the ETUC.

Danmarks Ishockey Union or DIU is the governing body of ice hockey in Denmark. It is a member of the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF) and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The association was founded on 27 November 1949 and became a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation the same year.

The Danish Rugby Union (DRU) is the governing body for rugby union in Denmark. Rugby began being played in Denmark in 1931 but it was not until 1950 that the DRU was established. In 1971 the DRU joined FIRA - Association of European Rugby followed by the Skandinavisk Rugby Union in 1974 before finally joining the International Rugby Board in 1988.

The Danish Cycling Federation or DCU is the national governing body of cycle racing in Denmark.

The rigsdaler specie was a unit of silver currency used in Norway from 1544, renamed as the speciedaler in 1816 and used until 1873. Norway used a common reichsthaler currency system shared with Denmark, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein until 1873 when the gold standard was implemented in Scandinavia and the German Empire.

The Denmark women's national rugby union team are a national sporting side of Denmark, representing them at rugby union. The side played their first test match in 2003 against the Netherlands.

Cathrine Paaske Sørensen is a Danish former football midfielder who played for the Denmark women's national football team. She was signed to play for the Los Angeles Sol of the American Women's Professional Soccer league, but the team folded in February 2010. She then joined the two-time W-League champion Pali Blues, based in Los Angeles, for the 2010 season.

A constitutional referendum was held in Iceland between 20 and 23 May 1944. The 1 December 1918 Danish–Icelandic Act of Union declared Iceland to be a sovereign state separate from Denmark, but maintained the two countries in a personal union, with the King of Denmark also being the King of Iceland. In the two-part referendum, voters were asked whether the Union with Denmark should be abolished, and whether to adopt a new republican constitution. Both measures were approved, each with more than 98% in favour. Voter turnout was 98.4% overall, and 100% in two constituencies, Seyðisfirði and Vestur-Skaftafjellssýsla.

Edmund Esbern Johannes Joensen is a Faroese politician, who was the Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands from 1994 to 1998. From 2015 to 2022 served as a member of the Danish Folketing, being one of two Faroese seats in parliament. He did not stand in the 2022 Danish general election and his granddaughter Anna Falkenberg replaced him as Member of the Folketing for the Union Party of which Joensen is a member.

Denmark–Norway was an early modern multi-national and multi-lingual real union consisting of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Kingdom of Norway, the Duchy of Schleswig, and the Duchy of Holstein. The state also claimed sovereignty over three historical peoples: Frisians, Gutes and Wends. Denmark–Norway had several colonies, namely the Danish Gold Coast, the Nicobar Islands, Serampore, Tharangambadi, and the Danish West Indies. The union was also known as the Dano-Norwegian Realm, Twin Realms (Tvillingerigerne) or the Oldenburg Monarchy (Oldenburg-monarkiet).

The Denmark national under-19 speedway team is the national under-19 motorcycle speedway team of Denmark and is controlled by the Danish Motor Union. The team started in Team U-19 European Championship in all editions and won two bronze medals. Denmark has produced two Under-19 European Champions: Kenneth Bjerre (2003), Nicolai Klindt (2007).

The Danish Sport Shooting Association, DanishDansk Sportsskytte Forbund (DSF), is the Danish association for practical shooting under the International Practical Shooting Confederation. DSF is also a member of Dansk Skytte Union (The Danish Shooting Union).

An election was held in Greenland in 1984 to elect its delegation to the European Parliament. This was the last election that Greenland took part in prior to the secession of Greenland from the European Union in 1985.
