Malam Danladi Sanusi-Maiyamba Loudspeaker.svg pronunciation is the 16th Mai Tangale of the Tangale chiefdom. [1] [2] He ascended to the throne 52 days after the death of Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru II, the 15th Mai Tangale. [3] He was appointed by the governor of Gombe State in reference to Gombe Chieftaincy law and in consultation with the lawmakers [4] [5] [6] [7]

Early life and education

Malam Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba was born on February 12, 1966, in Billiri Local Government Area of Gombe State. He went to Billiri Primary School where he obtained his Primary School Leaving Certificate. After that, he proceeded to Government Day Secondary School, Army Barrack in Yola where he obtained Secondary School Certificate in 1984. He did his tertiary education at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi where he bagged a degree in Public Administration. [3]

Career

Danladi Sanusi-Maiyamba was a civil servant who have worked in many government sectors. He worked at Ministry of Education, Bauchi from 1987 to 1996.

He was at Shari’a Court of Appeal, Gombe between 2005 and 2011 and he left for a position at Local Government Service Commission from 2011 to 2016. In 2016, he left Local Government to assume a position at Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Nomadic Affairs which lasted till 2018. In the same year, he got an appointment with the Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission which lasted till the day he ascended the throne. [3]

The Tula Kingdom is a Nigerian traditional state in northern Nigeria with its headquarters in Wange, Kaltungo, Local Government Area Gombe. It comprises three districts: Yiri, Baule and Wange, and is located 101 kilometres away from the Gombe State capital and 15 kilometres off the Adamawa-Yola highway. The Present Mai or King Dr Abubakar Buba Atare II is the paramount Ruler and Chairman Tula Chiefdom.

Dr Abubakar Buba Atare II is the second Mai or King of Tula Chiefdom, who was crowned on 21 December 2009 after the death of his father Buba K. Atare on 13 December 2009. Mai Abubakar was at the time of his appointment an engineering undergraduate student of Middlesex University, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Dr Abubakar Kokiya Atare Buba is the second Mai or King of Tula Chiefdom in Kaltungo Local Government Area of Gombe State. and is the secretary Gombe State Council of Emirs & Chiefs. In 2018 during the annual tula cultural day HRH Mai Tula Dr Abubakar Kokiya Buba Atare II called on his people of Tula and the entire Southern Gombe Tangale Waja to be more united, an occasion that was graced by the Executive Governor of Gombe State Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo and the Emir of Misau HRH Ahmed Sulaiman who was a former secretary to the Bauchi state Government. In November 2017 the Mai attended the funeral rites of Daktibe Jalingo and his son who were murdered by gunmen, a gesture which we almost never see between kings and their subjects, in his speech he condemned the attack and tasked the authorities to apprehend the culprits in order to face full wrath of the law

The 2023 Gombe State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Gombe State, concurrent with elections to the Gombe State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya is running for a second term and was renominated by his party.

The Tangale people are one of the ethnic groups in Northern Nigeria, situated in Gombe State. The Tangale people that majorly speak Tangale got their name from “Tangal”, a chief of Billiri, in the present day Gombe state of Nigeria. It is believed that Tangal was instrumental in organizing the clans under his leadership and because of this, the people under him were referred to as the Tangale.

Gombe-Abba was established by Modibbo Buba yero, the student of Usman Dan Fodiyo, after the 1804 Jihad war. It is located about a kilometre off the Gombe - Kano highway, near a river and on a hilly area. Gombe Abba is the first capital of Gombe Emirate and inextricable part of Gombe history.

Jekadefari Area of Gombe State: is the combination of two different words "jeka" is a Hausa word meaning follow and "defari" meaning white. Jekadefari means "follow the white men". It was the area that white men settled then after they conquered the emir of Gombe in 1903.

Hon Yaya Bauchi Tongo is a businessman and politician representing the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Constituency in the House of Representatives of Nigeria.

Ali Isa is a Nigerian politician and administrator. He is a former member of Nigeria's House of Representatives, representing the Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituencies of the Gombe state. He was re-elected in the 2023 General election

Billiri Emirate is a Tangale Chiefdom located in Billiri town, Gombe State. The Head of the Chiefdom is called "Mai Tangle" which means "Father of Tangle" derived from Tangale tribe. The serving Mai Tangale is HRH Dr. Musa Danladi Maiyamba.
