Danny Dunlop is a Canadian filmmaker from London, Ontario, [1] whose debut feature film Wolves was released in 2022. [2]
A graduate of Fanshawe College and the University of Western Ontario, [1] Dunlop wrote and directed various short films, and had cinematography credits on films by other directors, prior to making Wolves. He launched his own production company, Black Wave, in 2012.
Wolves was nominated for the John Dunning Best First Feature Award at the 11th Canadian Screen Awards in 2023. [3]

Bill Mason was a Canadian naturalist, author, artist, filmmaker, and conservationist, noted primarily for his popular canoeing books, films, and art as well as his documentaries on wolves. Mason was also known for including passages from Christian sermons in his films. He was born in 1929 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Art in 1951. He developed and refined canoeing strokes and river-running techniques, especially for complex whitewater situations. Mason canoed all of his adult life, ranging widely over the wilderness areas of Canada and the United States. Termed a "wilderness artist," Mason left a legacy that includes books, films, and artwork on canoeing and nature. His daughter Becky and son Paul are also both canoeists and artists. Mason died of cancer in 1988.

St. Catharines Roma Wolves, are a Canadian soccer team, founded in 1967. The team currently plays in the semi-professional League1 Ontario in both the men's and women's divisions. The club is a former member of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL), where it fielded a professional team from 1998–2013, and now operates youth teams in the Peninsula Soccer League. Teams play out of Club Roma in St. Catharines, Ontario in the Niagara Peninsula. The team's colours are dark red and white, mimicking those of the famous Italian club A.S. Roma.

Aftersun received the most awards with four wins, including Best Picture. For the first time in three years, the members met in person at Metro Hall for a "live vote" to determine the winners. The ceremony was held at The Omni King Edward Hotel on March 6, 2023, where the winner for the Rogers Best Canadian Film Award was announced.

The film stars Mark Nocent as an unnamed lonely and directionless young man who becomes obsessed with trying to solve a series of killings and dismemberings of animals, after learning on the news that police psychological profilers have identified the likely perpetrator as somebody uncomfortably similar to himself.
