Darbandsar is one of the largest Iranian ski resorts, and is located in Tehran Province. [2] It is located on the Alborz mountain range about 47 kilometres away from the Iranian capital of Tehran.
Darbandsar is the only resort in Iran that is capable of Snowmaking. [3]

Kalhor competed in the slalom and giant slalom competitions. She was her nation's flag bearer in the Opening Ceremony. Kalhor finished 60th among 86 competitors in the Giant Slalom and 55th among 87 participants in the Slalom.

Darbandsar is a former village in Rudbar-e Qasran Rural District, Rudbar-e Qasran District, Shemiranat County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 843, in 256 families. It was subsequently annexed to the city of Shemshak darbandsar.
