Dario Varotari the Elder (c. 1539–1596) was an Italian painter, sculptor, and architect of the Renaissance.
Born in Verona, he was descended from a Strasburg or Augsburg family of the name of 'Weyrotter.' He was a pupil of Paolo Veronese, and an imitator of Titian. He was mainly active in Padua, where he painted for the church of Sant' Elidio. Dario Varotari the Younger was also an artist, and his grandson by the well known Paduan painter Alessandro Varotari. .

He was the son of Dario Varotari the Elder and the brother of painter Chiara Varotari, who accompanied him on his travels and assisted with his work.

Giovanni Battista Bissoni (1576–1636) was an Italian painter. He was born in Padua. He was first a pupil of Francesco Apollodoro, called Il Porcia, a portrait painter, and afterwards of Dario Varotari the Elder. Bissoni painted for the churches and convents at Padua and Ravenna. In the refectory of the convent of San Vitale, he painted a Last Supper.
Caterina Tarabotti was an Italian female painter of the Baroque period. She was born in Venice, and a pupil of Alessandro Varotari, called Padovino, (1588-1649) and his sister Chiara. The sister of proto-feminist writer Arcangela Tarabotti, she practiced chiefly in Vicenza, where she painted historical pictures. She died in financial constraints at the Ospedaletto di San Giobbe in Venice on 8 February 1693, aged 78.
Bartolommeo Scaligero was an Italian painter of the Baroque. He was born in Padua, and trained with Alessandro Varotari, and was active in Venice. He painted for the church of Corpus Domini in Venice. His niece, Lucia Scaligero, was also a painter.
