Darius Antony Lassiter (born August 10, 2000) is an American professional football wide receiver. He played college football for the Butler Grizzlies, Eastern Michigan Eagles and BYU Cougars.
Lassiter was born on August 10, 2000 [1] in Chandler, Arizona. He was one of seven children born to Ericka and Kwamie Lassiter. [2] He first attended Hamilton High School in Chandler where he played wide receiver for the Hamilton Huskies during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. [3] He later played football at Lawrence Free State High School in Lawrence, Kansas as a member of the Lawrence Firebirds team from 2017 to his graduating year. [3]
Lassiter first played as a wide receiver at Butler Community College as a member of the Grizzlies team. He played in 17 games from 2019 to 2022. [4]
On February 2, 2022, Lassiter signed with Eastern Michigan University. [5] He played in all 13 games of the 2022 season. While at EMU, Lassiter majored in Fire Science. [6]
On May 2, 2023, Lassiter transferred to Brigham Young University. [5] [7] As a member of the BYU Cougars, Lassiter recorded 29 receptions and 4 touchdowns over 10 games. While at BYU, Lassiter majored in Geology. [2]
Lassiter signed with the Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL draft. [8] He was waived on August 26 as part of final roster cuts. [9]
Lassiter has six siblings including four brothers and two sisters. His father Kwamie Sr. played college football at Kansas and professional football for the Arizona Cardinals, San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Rams in the NFL. His brother Kwamie II, played wide receiver for Kansas and later with the Cincinnati Bengals. Lassiter's brother Kwinton, played defensive back at Kansas. [2]
