Darren Jude Wates (born 2 July 1977) is a former Australian cricketer who played first-class and limited overs cricket for Western Australia.
Wates attended Aquinas College,Perth and the University of Western Australia. He started his career in the 1999–2000 season,in which he won the best new talent award on the way to the Western Warriors winning the Mercantile Mutual Cup Final.
In 2004,he gave away his career as a lawyer to become a full-time cricketer,but injuries have restricted his last few seasons,with persistent hamstring problems.
In the 2004 ING Cup Final,Wates starred with Kade Harvey to add 75 for the seventh wicket to guide the Western Warriors to their first title since 1999–2000. Wates hit the winning runs off the bowling of Clinton Perren in the final over of the match.

Adam Craig Gilchrist is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer and captain of the Australia national cricket team. He was an attacking left-handed batsman and record-breaking wicket-keeper, who redefined the role for the Australia national team through his aggressive batting. Widely regarded as one of the greatest wicket-keeper-batsman in the history of the game, Gilchrist held the world record for the most dismissals by a wicket-keeper in One Day International (ODI) cricket until it was surpassed by Kumar Sangakkara in 2015 and the most by an Australian in Test cricket.
Darren Scott Lehmann is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer who coached the Australian national team. Lehmann made his ODI debut in 1996 and Test debut in 1998. He was on the fringes of national selection for the entirety of the 1990s, and only became a regular in the ODI team in 2001 and Test team in late 2002, before being dropped in early 2005. Primarily an aggressive left-handed batsman, Lehmann was also a part-time left arm orthodox bowler, and gained renown for his disregard for physical fitness and modern dietary regimes. He announced his retirement from first-class cricket in November 2007.
Geoffrey Robert Marsh is a former Australian cricketer, coach and selector. He played 50 Test matches and 117 One Day Internationals for Australia as an opening batsman. As the coach of Australia he was in charge when Australia won the 1999 Cricket World Cup in England. He later coached Zimbabwe (2001–2004) and Sri Lanka (2011–12).
Darren James Lockyer is an Australian television commentator and former professional rugby league footballer. Lockyer was an Australian international and Queensland State representative captain, who played his entire professional career with the Brisbane Broncos.

Adam "Mad Dog" MacDougall is an Australian author, businessman and former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. Brent Tate is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played as a centre or winger in the 2000s and 2010s. An Australia international and Queensland State of Origin representative, he played his club football in the NRL for the Brisbane Broncos, the New Zealand Warriors and the North Queensland Cowboys. Despite a career that was set back by a series of severe injuries, Tate kept coming back and was a member of the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2012 and 2013 State of Origin series-winning Queensland sides, as well as the 2008 and 2013 World Cup Australian sides, winning the 2013 edition with them.
