Darwin Olympic Sporting Club is an Australian soccer club based in Darwin, the Northern Territory. Founded in 1967, Darwin Olympic currently competes in the NorZone Premier League. [1] The club has seen great success, becoming Premiers and Champions of 2008 in the NT Northern Zone Premier League. [2]

The club became the first Northern Territory football club to qualify for the FFA Cup, after winning the Northern Territory-based qualifying competition. However, they were eliminated after losing 6–1 to Adelaide United in the round of 32, with striker Michael Tsounias scoring the team's lone goal in the 19th minute of the match. [3]

The Football Federation Australia Cup, commonly known as the FFA Cup, is the main national soccer knockout cup competition in Australia. The annual competition is organised by and named after Football Federation Australia. It features all the teams from the top division, the A-League, as well as from lower tiers in the Australian leagues, including the National Premier Leagues. Teams enter the competition in progressional stages, with qualifying rounds used to determine which lower division teams eventually join those from the A-League in later stages of the cup. From its inception to 2017 it was sponsored by the Westfield Group and known as the Westfield FFA Cup.

Adelaide United Football Club is a professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The club participates in the A-League under licence from Football Federation Australia. The club was founded in 2003 to fill the place vacated by Adelaide City and West Adelaide in the former National Soccer League (NSL), and is now the sole team from the state of South Australia in the A-League. Adelaide United's home ground is Hindmarsh Stadium. Adelaide United were premiers in the inaugural 2005–06 A-League season, finishing 7 points clear of the rest of the competition, before finishing third in the finals. They were Premiers again in 2015/16 finishing just one point ahead of second place Western Sydney.

Northern Fury FC Association football club in Townsville, Queensland

Northern Fury Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Townsville, Queensland. The club was founded in 2008 and competed in the A-League under the name North Queensland Fury. On 1 March 2011, the club was removed from the league due to financial instability. On 3 October 2012, the club officially re-formed after it was granted a licence to participate in the National Premier League Queensland. Northern Fury play their home fixtures at Townsville Sports Reserve.

The Leagues Championship Cup, officially branded under the sponsor's name as the Foxtel Cup, was an annual Australian rules football club knockout cup competition involving clubs from the various state league competitions from around Australia. The tournament was organised by the Australian Football League (AFL), and was held annually between 2011 and 2014.

Darwin Rovers FC are a football (soccer) club based in Darwin, Northern Territory. They compete in the NorZone Premier League administered by Football Federation Northern Territory. Rovers play their games at Darwin Football Stadium in the suburb of Marrara.

The preliminary rounds operate within a consistent national structure whereby club entry into the competition is staggered in each federation, with the winning clubs from Round 7 of the preliminary rounds in each member federation gaining entry into the Round of 32. All Australian clubs are eligible to enter the qualifying process through their respective FFA member federation, however only one team per club is permitted entry in the competition.
