Dave Sirulnick (born May 26, 1964) is an American television producer.
Sirulnick grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, [1] where he attended Teaneck High School [2] and became involved with booking musicians such as LL Cool J, Run DMC, and Salt-N-Pepa at The Rink, a roller rink in nearby Bergenfield. He later attended Rutgers University. After graduating, he was hired as a news producer at CNN, like his father who was also a television producer. [3]
In 1987, he joined MTV, saying they "wanted someone to grow their news department. It's what I wanted my whole life: TV, music and news". [4] He eventually became the executive vice president for Multiplatform Production, News and Music at MTV. [1] Sirulnick's responsibilities included oversight of MTV's signature show, Total Request Live . [5] Half of MTV's programming had been within his job functions. [6] He was the chief architect of the MTV Video Music Awards. [7] In March 2015, he and others were dismissed from their positions at MTV by Viacom, the parent corporation. [8]
As of January 2019 [update] , Sirulnick is a partner at RadicalMedia. [9]

MTV is an American cable television channel. It was officially launched on August 1, 1981. Based in New York City, it serves as the flagship property of the MTV Entertainment Group, part of Paramount Media Networks, a division of Paramount Global.
The second incarnation of Viacom Inc. was an American multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate with interests primarily in film and television. It was established on December 31, 2005, as one of two companies which succeeded the original Viacom, alongside the second CBS Corporation. The controlling shareholder of both companies was National Amusements, a theater company headed by businessman Sumner Redstone. The split was structured so that the original Viacom changed its name to CBS Corporation and spun out its cable and film interests as a new Viacom.

Herzog has been credited with evolving the MTV brand by steering the network away from music related programming.

The original incarnation of Viacom Inc. was an American mass media and entertainment conglomerate based in New York City. It began as CBS Television Film Sales, the broadcast syndication division of the CBS television network in 1952; it was renamed CBS Films in 1958, renamed CBS Enterprises in 1968, renamed Viacom in 1970, and spun off into its own company in 1971. Viacom was a distributor of CBS television series throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and also distributed syndicated television programs. The company went under Sumner Redstone's control in 1987 through his cinema chain company National Amusements.
Ridiculousness is an American comedy clip show that began airing on August 29, 2011, on MTV. It is hosted by Rob Dyrdek and co-hosted by Sterling "Steelo" Brim, and formerly Chanel West Coast. Ridiculousness strictly showcases various viral videos from the Internet, usually involving failed do-it-yourself attempts at stunts, to which Dyrdek and his panelists add mockery and reaction. The producers of the series and MTV refuse any submitted videos for the show for the safety of their viewers, instead licensing already-existing content.
Snooki & Jwoww was an American reality television series on MTV starring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jennifer "JWoww" Farley. It is the second of three spin-offs of Jersey Shore, on which both Polizzi and Farley previously gained fame as cast members. The series ran from June 21, 2012 until February 4, 2015 spanning four seasons.

Criticism of Paramount Global has included the former Viacom Inc.'s announced plans of looking into splitting the company into two publicly traded companies. The company was not only dealing with a stagnating stock price, but also the rivalry between Leslie Moonves and Tom Freston, longtime heads of MTV Networks. In addition, the company was facing issues after MTV was banned from producing any more Super Bowl halftime shows after the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show controversy in 2004.

Robert Marc Bakish is an American business executive. He has been president and CEO of Paramount Global since December 4, 2019, formerly holding the same position at Viacom before the merger with CBS Corporation.
