Davey Oberlin is an American musician. He is best known as the onstage keyboardist for the nu metal band Korn. [1] Oberlin is also known for his work in symphonic deathcore group Winds of Plague. [2]
At sixteen, Oberlin drew animation in-betweens at Cartoon Network for animated television series The Powerpuff Girls. Between 2003 and 2009, Oberlin worked as a game tester at Activision, testing popular video game titles including Call of Duty, Call of Duty: World at War, Guitar Hero World Tour, X-Men Legends, 007: Quantum of Solace, and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. [3] Oberlin also provided the score and sound design for the mobile game hits GraveStompers and Avenged Sevenfold's Hail to the King: Deathbat, where Oberlin voiced a majority of the characters and produced several ambient themes. [4]
Between 2003 and 2005, Oberlin joined rocker Jennifer Finch's band The Shocker touring Europe and the United States as lead guitar and second vocals. Following his exit from the band, Oberlin formed the Orange County, California based band Perish. With Perish, Oberlin released a record produced by Paul Miner of Death By Stereo fame. Several years later, Oberlin, along with Perish, released an album exclusively in Japan. The album included the song "The Hammer," which featured guest vocals from Dave Peters of Throwdown fame.
In 2009, Oberlin joined the extreme metal band Dawn of Ashes. Oberlin co-wrote the band's album Genocide Chapters for Metal Blade Records under the stage name Volkar Kael. [5] The band toured as opening act for Dimmu Borgir across the United States and Canada. [6]
Following his time with Dawn of Ashes, Oberlin joined the band Stolen Babies featuring Gil Sharone of Marilyn Manson/The Dillinger Escape Plan fame. [7] Oberlin played drums and lead guitar for the band while touring with bands including Katatonia, Sevendust, and The Devin Townsend Project. [8]
In 2015, Oberlin joined symphonic deathcore band Winds of Plague. [9] [2] Oberlin played lead guitar and performed on several tours with the band before being asked to join the band Korn.
While Oberlin was working as a guitar technician for heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, Oberlin met Jonathan Davis and his bandmates from Korn. [10] When keyboardist Zac Baird left Korn after a ten-year stint with the band, guitarist Brian Welch recommended Oberlin to take over as keyboardist in the band. [10] In 2017, Oberlin officially joined the live band as Baird's replacement. [11]
In 2019, Oberlin created his solo synthwave project "All the Damn Vampires." [12] [13] On March 30, 2020, the video for his single "Saturday" was officially released. [14]
In addition to his music career, Oberlin is an artist and enjoys painting. He created the pop art character line the "Boneheads" and has painted pieces for attorney Bobby Samini, Bobby Schubenski, and Grammy Award winning musician Zedd. [15]
Dimmu Borgir is a Norwegian symphonic black metal band from Jessheim, formed in 1993. The name is derived from Dimmuborgir, a volcanic formation in Iceland, the name of which means "dark cities" or "dark castles/fortresses" in Icelandic, Faroese and Old Norse. The band has been through numerous lineup changes over the years; vocalist Shagrath and rhythm guitarist Silenoz are the only original members who still remain, with lead guitarist Galder being a longstanding member.

Susperia is a Norwegian melodic thrash metal band formed in October 1998 by Tjodalv and Cyrus. The band was originally named Seven Sins, but since there was another band with that name they changed it to the title of the horror film Suspiria, changing the spelling to avoid a clash with Suspiria, a gothic rock band that also took its name from the film.
Tuska Open Air Metal Festival, commonly shortened to Tuska, is a Finnish heavy metal festival taking place annually in Helsinki. The first Tuska took place in 1998 and the festival has since grown larger every year. The location of the festival has been in Kaisaniemi park in the middle of the city from 2001. However, since 2011, Tuska has taken place at the Suvilahti event field in the Kalasatama neighbourhood of the Sörnäinen district. The festival dates have always been in either June or July.

Spiritual Black Dimensions is the fourth studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir. It was released in 1999 by Nuclear Blast Records. A deluxe edition was released in 2004 with bonus material. There is also a digipak edition of this album which contains no bonus tracks. The digipak has reflective/holographic cover art. This release featured keyboardist Mustis and the clean vocals of ICS Vortex, as well as the departure of long-time drummer Tjodalv, guitarist Astennu, and bassist Nagash.

Mayhem Festival 2010 was the third annual Mayhem Festival created by Kevin Lyman. The 2010 edition of the festival was co-headlined by Korn and Rob Zombie. As in previous years, the main sponsor of the festival is Rockstar Energy drink, and each date had a different Battle of the Bands winner performing on the Jägermeister stage. In addition to three stages with various heavy metal bands, Mayhem Festival 2010 also hosted other entertainment acts. As in previous years, the Freestyle Motocross stunt team Metal Mulisha returned, in addition to comedian Jay Oakerson and a costume party/variety act "Beacher's Madhouse" featuring DJs and the scantily clad "Beacher's Babies".
Betraying the Martyrs were a French metalcore band formed in Paris in 2008. The band's final lineup consisted of vocalist Rui Martins, guitarists Steeves Hostin and Baptiste Vigier, bassist Valentin Hauser, drummer Boris le Gal, and keyboardist Victor Guillet. At the time of their breakup in 2023, they were signed to Out of Line Music. Through their previous label, Sumerian Records, Betraying the Martyrs released four studio albums: Breathe in Life (2011), Phantom (2014), The Resilient (2017), and Rapture (2019). Shadow of Intent is an American deathcore band from Connecticut. They formed in 2013 as a Halo-themed studio project by Ben Duerr and Chris Wiseman. The band's name is a reference to a Covenant ship in the Halo series. They are not signed to a label and have released their albums independently. They have released four studio albums to date, along with two instrumental versions of previous releases, and a deluxe album. Their fourth studio album entitled Elegy was released independently on January 14, 2022.
