David B. Huestis of Canada served as a member of the Board of the World Scout Foundation. In 2011, Huestis was awarded the 330th Bronze Wolf , the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting. The Bronze Wolf Award is bestowed by the World Scout Committee (WSC) to acknowledge "outstanding service by an individual to the World Scout Movement". It is the highest honor that can be given a volunteer Scout leader in the world and it is the only award given by the WSC. Since the award's creation in 1935, fewer than 400 of the several millions of Scouts throughout the world have received the award.

The Silver Wolf is the highest award made by The Scout Association "for services of the most exceptional character." It is an unrestricted gift of the Chief Scout. The award consists of a Silver Wolf suspended from a dark green and yellow neck ribbon.

Georges El Ghorayeb of Beirut, Lebanon was one of 12 elected volunteer members of the World Scout Committee, the main executive body of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, from 2005 to 2011, and served as liaison to external Scout bodies International Link of Orthodox Christian Scouts (DESMOS) and the International Scout and Guide Fellowship (ISGF).

Léonard Offoumou Yapo was an Ivorian politician that served as the chairman of the Africa Scout Committee and president of the Africa Scout Foundation until 2003; awarded the 298th Bronze Wolf, the only distinction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, awarded by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting in 2003, at the 37th World Scout Conference.

Demetrios Alexatos Scout name "Rann", meaning "Brahminy kite" from The Jungle Book, served as the National Commissioner of the Scouts of Greece for 17 years, from 1948 to 1965, on the personal recommendation of king Paul of Greece, Camp Chief of the 11th World Scout Jamboree held 1–11 August 1963 in Marathon, as well as an elected member of the World Scout Committee from 1957 to 1963.
