David S. Eaglin is a United States Air Force brigadier general who serves as the deputy commander of the Seventh Air Force. Previously, he was the vice director of operations of the North American Aerospace Defense Command. [1] [2] [3]
In February 2021, he was assigned to take command of the 18th Wing, replacing Joel Carey. [4]
In July 2024, he was nominated for promotion to major general. [5] [6]
The Distinguished Service Medal (DSM) is a military decoration of the United States Air Force and United States Space Force and is presented to airmen and guardians to recognize distinguished and exceptionally meritorious service to the United States while serving in a duty or position of great responsibility. John R. Edwards is a United States Air Force Major general who is currently the Director for Strategic Capabilities Policy on the National Security Council at the White House. Edwards was born in Saigon, Vietnam to an American father and Vietnamese mother. His father was a former Army noncommissioned officer assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group who later served as a civilian with the U.S. Navy.
