David Farkas (born November 28, 1975) is an American actor and musician.
Farkas was born in Akron, Ohio, but Orange County, California has been his home since 1988. At Sunny Hills High School he was a member of an all-league water polo team. [1] He was also a member of the North Orange County All-Star Team. [2] He then played water polo at Claremont McKenna College where he was an All-SCIAC, All-American selection his senior year. [3] He was also a two-time captain and a member of the CMS Athletic Wall of Fame. [4]
After college, David started pursuing theatre. He worked at several theatre companies throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, performing as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat , [5] Jim in The Rainmaker , Johnny Case in Holiday , Joe in Heaven Can Wait , and Nick in Baby . [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] He also played the title role, Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie at the Grove Theatre, [11] and Buck Holden in Nite Club Confidential at the Sierra Repertory Theatre. [12] Diane Nelson writes in her review of 'Nite Club' in The Union Democrat, "Equity actor David Farkas is a spiffy Buck Holden, with his Phillip Marlowe delivery and winning smile. He narrates the whole review, and still finds the energy to dance and sing like a pro." Playing the title role of Robbie in a musical version of The Wedding Singer, David played guitar on stage for the first time, and created a 'likable, wholly credible character...' without copying Sandler's screen portrayal. During this time, David also started pursuing more television and film roles. His first part was in the daytime soap, The Bold and the Beautiful . [15] He would go on later to have a recurring principal role on Passions , [16] and a principal role on The Young and the Restless . [17] [18] His film debut as David A. Farkas came when he was cast in Flightplan (2005), starring Jodie Foster. [19] He then played Chad in the suspense film Dark Mirror (2007), starring Lisa Vidal. He also had roles on Ghost Whisperer , Perception , NCIS: Los Angeles , [20] All My Children , General Hospital , Wicked Wicked Games , and Criminal Minds . [21] [22] Currently in production, David plays Sgt. Eddie Bracket in Fatal Crossroads , a film which depicts the Malmedy massacre during WWII. David and his wife Brittany Farkas released their debut album, Smilin', [24] on December 5, 2016. Meredith Schneider from Impose Magazine called their debut album an 'Emotionally turbulent and fun work of art,' [25] and New Jersey Stage Magazine writers Rich and Laura Lynch said David and Brittany 'aim to uplift and their first effort will leave you smiling, that's for sure.' [26] Their second album, Our America, was released in 2018 and features the single 'First Lullaby.' [27] Our America also 'features the single, 'Grace', a christian based song that the couple wrote about trust and faith.' [28]
David published his first children’s book, Don’t Make Noise Lose With Poise: A Child's Guide To Losing, in November 2024. Alongside his wife, Brittany Farkas, who illustrated the book, the husband and wife team set out to teach kids how to deal with losing in a productive and positive way. Carol Thompson from Reader’s Favorite said the book ‘is a delightful and meaningful picture book that gently introduces young readers to the importance of handling setbacks gracefully.’ [29] Ms. Thompson goes on to say that 'Brittany Farkas’s vibrant illustrations add charm to the narrative, capturing emotions and playful moments with expressive details.'
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a sung-through musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, based on the character of Joseph from the Bible's Book of Genesis. This was the first Lloyd Webber and Rice musical to be performed publicly; their first collaboration, The Likes of Us, written in 1965, was not performed until 2005. Its family-friendly retelling of Joseph, familiar themes, and catchy music have resulted in numerous stagings. According to the owner of the copyright, the Really Useful Group, by 2008 more than 20,000 schools and amateur theatre groups had staged productions.
The London Palladium is a Grade II* West End theatre located on Argyll Street, London, in Soho. The theatre was designed by Frank Matcham and opened in 1910. The auditorium holds 2,286 people. Hundreds of stars have played there, many with televised performances. Between 1955 and 1969 Sunday Night at the London Palladium was staged at the venue, produced for the ITV network. The show included a performance by the Beatles on 13 October 1963; one newspaper's headlines in the following days coined the term "Beatlemania" to describe the hysterical interest in the band.

Ozark Actors Theatre is an Equity theater company in Rolla, Missouri founded in 1987 by pianist Gail Andrews-Hintz and founding Artistic Director F. Reed Brown with the help of actress Cindy Beger and her friend Kathy Pukas. In 1993, The Cedar Street Playhouse became the home of Ozark Actors Theatre. Ozark Actors Theatre quickly gained a reputation for doing quality theatrical productions, and drew acclaim in Missouri and nationwide. In 2010 Jason Cannon became the artistic director, and Pamela Reckamp took the position in 2015.
