David H. Warren is an academic administrator and educator. He served as the acting chancellor at the University of California,Riverside from March,2002 through July 2002. He bridged the tenures of Raymond L. Orbach and France Córdova.
Warren is a professor emeritus in the Department of Psychology at UCR. He also served as the dean of the College of Humanities,Arts and Social Sciences and the chair of the department of psychology. [1]
He earned his degree from Yale in 1965,then completed his Ph.D. in child development from the University of Minnesota. [1]
The University of California,Riverside is a public land-grant research university in Riverside,California. It is one of the ten campuses of the University of California system. This monkey,called Britches,was a stump-tailed macaque who was born into a breeding colony at UCR. He was removed from his mother at birth,had his eyelids sewn shut,and had an electronic sonar device attached to his head—a Trisensor Aid,an experimental version of a blind travel aid,the Sonicguide—as part of a three-year sensory-deprivation study involving 24 infant monkeys. The experiments were designed to study the behavioral and neural development of monkeys reared with a sensory substitution device.
Robert Rosenthal was a German-born American psychologist who was a Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the University of California,Riverside. His interests included self-fulfilling prophecies,which he explored in a well-known study of the Pygmalion effect:the effect of teachers' expectations on students.
The history of the University of California,Riverside,or UCR,started in 1907 when UCR was the University's Citrus Experiment Station. The University of California Citrus Experiment Station is the founding unit of the University of California,Riverside campus in Riverside,California,United States. The station contributed greatly to the cultivation of the orange and the overall agriculture industry in California. Established February 14,1907,the station celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2007.
Herman Spieth was an American zoologist and university administrator. He was the first chancellor of the University of California,Riverside from 1956 to 1964. Originally hired as a professor in the Life Sciences Department,he was responsible for administering UCR's change from a liberal arts college to a major research university. Spieth Hall at UCR is named after him.

Paul J. D'Anieri is Professor of Public Policy and Political Science and former Executive Vice Chancellor &Provost of University of California,Riverside. Prior to his position at UCR,Dr. D'Anieri served as the dean of the University of Florida College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS),from July 2008-June 2014 and the associate dean for humanities from 2004 to 2008 and associate dean for international programs from 1999 to 2003 at the University of Kansas.
UC Riverside Highlanders football represented the University of California,Riverside from the 1955 through the 1975 college football seasons. The Highlanders originally competed as an Independent before they joined the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) in 1969. They played their home game at Highlander Stadium in Riverside,California. During their 21 years of competition,the Highlanders compiled an all-time record of 84 wins,83 losses and 8 ties (84–83–8).

The UC Riverside baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of California,Riverside,located in Riverside,California,United States. The program has been a member of the NCAA Division I Big West Conference since the start of the 2002 season. The program's home venue is the Riverside Sports Complex,located on the university's campus. Justin Johnson serves as the team's interim head coach starting with the 2021 season. The program has won two Division II national championships. It has appeared in four Division II College World Series and 12 NCAA tournaments. It has won eight California Collegiate Athletic Association championships and one Big West Conference championship. As of the start of the 2013 Major League Baseball season,16 former Highlanders have appeared in Major League Baseball.

Riverside–Hunter Park/UCR station is a train station in Riverside,California,United States,that opened on June 6,2016,along with the 91/Perris Valley Line extension of the Metrolink commuter rail system. It is located in the Hunter Park neighborhood of Riverside and about 3 miles (4.8 km) north of the campus of the University of California,Riverside,after which the station is named. Despite being named after UCR,there are no buses between the campus and this station. Instead the university recommends that students use Riverside–Downtown station and take Riverside Transit Agency route 1 to campus. Original plans for the extension called for a station adjacent to the campus,but the plan was scrapped after local residents raised concerns about parking and noise.
Ruth K. Chao is an American psychologist. Her research interests center around the parenting styles and socialization of East Asian immigrant families,especially Chinese families,in the United States and Canada. She is an associate professor in the Psychology Department and the principal investigator for the Multicultural Families and Adolescents Study (MFAS) research project at the University of California,Riverside. She is a board member of the Global Parenting Education Group,a nonprofit organization that focuses on parent education in China and other countries.
