Sir Charles Benedict Ainslie is a British competitive sailor. Ainslie is the most successful sailor in Olympic history. He won medals at five consecutive Olympics from 1996 onwards, including gold at four consecutive Games from 2000 to 2012.
Robert Scheidt is a Brazilian sailor who has won two gold medals, two silver medals and a bronze from five Olympic Games and a Star Sailors League Final. He is one of the most successful sailors at Olympic Games and one of the most successful Brazilian Olympic athletes, being one of only two to earn five medals along with fellow sailor Torben Grael, and only behind the six medals of Rebeca Andrade. He is the only Brazilian sailor to win medals in both dinghy and keelboat classes.
Andrew James "Bart" Simpson, was an English sailor who won a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, as crew for skipper Iain Percy in the Star class representing Great Britain. Simpson died in the capsize of the catamaran he was crewing on 9 May 2013, while training for the America's Cup in San Francisco Bay.
David John Were Bond was a British Olympic gold medallist in sailing. He competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London and won a gold medal in the Swallow class with Stewart Morris. He was involved in the promotion of elements related to the 2012 Summer Olympics and was the last surviving British gold medallist from the 1948 Games.
Hannah Louise Mills is a British competitive sailor and two-time world champion in the Women's 470 class, having won in 2012 and 2019. Mills won a silver medal for Team GB with her crew Saskia Clark in the 2012 Olympics, she followed this up with a gold in the same event at both the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and, partnered by Eilidh McIntyre, the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Milivoj Dukić is a Montenegrin sailor. He competed at the 2012, 2016 and 2021 Summer Olympics in the men's Laser class. He was chosen as one of the flag-bearers for the Montenegro team at the 2024 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.

Jonas Høgh-Christensen is a Danish sailor, winner of the Finn Gold Cup in 2009. He has represented Denmark in the Finn class at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics at which he won the silver medal, narrowly missing out on the gold to British sailor Sir Ben Ainslie, who that day became the first person to win medals in five different Olympic Games in sailing, surpassing Danish Sailor Paul Elvstrøm who won four gold medals.
Jorge João Zarif is a Brazilian sailor, competing in the Finn class. Son of Brazilian Olympic sailor Jorge Zarif Neto, after finishing 20th at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Zarif was world champion in both junior and senior levels, winning gold at the 2013 Youth Championship in Cyprus and the 2013 Finn Gold Cup in Estonia. His second Olympic appearance in 2016 had Zarif improve handily, with a fourth place finish. He returned for his third Olympic appearance at the 2020 Summer Olympics, earning 14th place.
Tara Pacheco van Rijnsoever is a Spanish sports sailor. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's 470 class with Berta Betanzos. At the 2016 Olympics, she and Fernando Echavarri competed in the Nacra 17 class.
Mikalai Yuryievich Zhukavets is a Belarusian windsurfer, who specialized in Neil Pryde RS:X class. A two-time Olympian, he is ranked no. 34 in the world for the sailboard class by the International Sailing Federation. Zhukavets also trains for Moshvsm Sailing Club in Minsk under his personal coach and mentor Uladzimir Khaladzinski.
Ahmed Muhammad Ismail Kamil Habash is an Egyptian windsurfer, who specialized in Neil Pryde RS:X class. He is currently trained for Cairo Yacht Club under his personal coach Ibrahim Ismail, and has also represented Egypt for the first time in sailing history at the 2012 Summer Olympics. As of September 2013, he is ranked no. 112 in the world for the sailboard class by the International Sailing Federation.
Makoto Tomizawa is a Japanese windsurfer, who specialized in Neil Pryde RS:X class. He represented Japan in two editions of the Olympic Games and has been currently training for Kanto Auto Works Sailing Team in Kanagawa Prefecture under his personal coach Kazuto Seki. As of September 2013, Tomizawa is ranked no. 42 in the world for the sailboard class by the International Sailing Federation.
Joonas Lindgren is a Finnish sailor, who specialized in two-person dinghy (470) class. He represented Finland at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and has also been training for the Helsinki Sailing Club throughout most of his sporting career. His father and personal coach Jouko Lindgren shared bronze medals with Georg Tallberg in the same program at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. As of September 2013, Lindgren is ranked no. 33 in the world for two-person dinghy class by the International Sailing Federation.
Yugo Yoshida is a Japanese sailor, who specializes in the two-person dinghy (470) class. He shared gold medals with his partner Ryunosuke Harada in the 470 class at the 2010 Asian Games, and later represented Japan at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Throughout most of his sailing career, Yoshida trained for the ABeam Consulting Team under his personal coach and mentor Kazunori Komatsu. As of September 2013, Yoshida is ranked no. 190 in the world for two-person dinghy class by the International Sailing Federation.
Frithjof Kleen is a German sailor, who specialized in two-person keelboat (Star) class. He represented Germany, along with his partner Robert Stanjek in the Star class at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and also captured a silver medal at the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships in Perth, Australia. Kleen has also been training throughout most of his sporting career for the North German Sailing Regatta in Hamburg under his personal coach Alan Smith.

As of November 2014, Stanjek is ranked eighth in the world for the two-person keelboat by the International Sailing Federation, following his first-place effort at the ISAF World Cup Series and Star World Championship in Malcesine, Italy.

He represented South Africa, along with his personal coach and partner Roger Hudson, at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics, and has trained throughout most of his sporting career for RaceAhead Yacht Club.
Michael Leigh is a Canadian sailor, who specialized in one-person (Laser) and two-person dinghy (470) classes. Representing Canada in two editions of the Olympic Games, he finished ninth in the Laser class at Beijing 2008, and then twenty-fifth in the 470 class at London 2012 with his partner Luke Ramsay. Leigh has also been training throughout his sailing career for the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club under his Australian-born personal coach Joshua Chant.
Frederico Ricciardi Pinheiro de Melo is a Portuguese sailor, who specializes in heavyweight one-person dinghy (Finn) and two-person keelboat (Star) classes. He represented his nation Portugal, along with his partner and three-time Olympian Afonso Domingos, at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and has trained throughout his sailing career with Cascais Naval Club in his current residence Cascais, under his personal coach Andy Zawieja. Born and raised in the United States, Melo also held a dual citizenship to compete internationally for his parents' homeland in sailing. As of June 2015, Melo was ranked twentieth in the world for the heavyweight one-person dinghy class by the International Sailing Federation.
