David Kamo (born August 4, 1986, in Boise, Idaho) is an American professional motorcycle enduro rider. He has competed for the KTM factory team at the AMA National Hare and Hound (2009 AMA National Hare and Hound Archived 2009-02-02 at the Wayback Machine ), Best In The Desert, International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), World Enduro Championship (WEC Archived 2009-12-28 at the Wayback Machine ) and Western Hare Scrambles series Archived 2009-02-02 at the Wayback Machine .

Personal life

Kamo is an only child born to Curt and Kathleen "Kit" Kamo. He graduated from New Plymouth High School in New Plymouth, Idaho and attended Treasure Valley Community College, receiving certification in many types of welding. David currently lives in Caldwell, Idaho.

Kamo is currently racing the AMA National Hare and Hound Series in the Pro Class. He is also expanding on his Mountain Bike Racing this summer, racing his first 7-day stage race The BC Bike Race in Canada, Summer 2015.

Supermoto was originally conceived by Gavin Trippe in 1979 as a segment of the TV show Wide World of Sports. Mike Lafferty is an American former motorcycle enduro competitor. He is a multi-time AMA National Enduro Champion. He has been racing at the championship level since 1993 when he won the AMA Regional Championship. Lafferty has won eight AMA National Enduro Championships, which ties the record previously set by Dick Burleson. He has 69 National wins.

Gary Jones is an American former professional motocross and desert racer. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1971 to 1976. Jones is notable for winning the inaugural AMA 250cc motocross national championship in 1972. Jones then successfully defended his national championship in 1973 and 1974, winning three consecutive 250cc motocross national championships while competing on three different brands of motorcycles, a feat which has never been repeated in AMA motocross history. He was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2000.

Carl Lee Cranke was an American professional motorcycle enduro competitor. He represented the United States in 10 International Six Days Trial (ISDT) in the 1960s and 1970s. He earned seven gold medals and two silver medals in ISDT competitions to become one of the most accomplished American enduro riders of his era. Cranke was also notable for his two stroke engine tuning abilities, and was also credited with helping develop Penton motorcycles. He was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2000.

Mickaël Pichon is a French former professional motocross and supercross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1992 to 1994 and in the AMA Motocross Championships from 1995 to 1999, before returning to compete in the Motocross World Championships from 2000 to 2009. Pichon is notable for winning the 250cc motocross world championship in 2001 and 2002. His 38 career Grand Prix victories ranks him ninth overall among motocross world championship competitors.

Larry Roeseler is an American professional off-road racer. He is notable for having won the prestigious Baja 1000 desert race a record 13 times, the most of any competitor since the race's inception in 1967. His victories made him one of the most accomplished multi-discipline desert racers in off-road racing history.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Superenduro</span> Hybrid motorcycle competition

Indoor enduro or SuperEnduro which is also known by Endurocross shortened Enduro-X or EX, is a hybrid motorcycle competition, a mix of supercross and enduro racing held indoors over obstacles resembling a trials track. Super enduro events are typically held in hockey or downsized basketball arenas. Its main difference with supercross is in there being "hard rock sections" and wooden parts akin to enduro and technical 'trials' courses, rather than tarmac in between jumps. Tracks incorporate various elements of off-road riding, including rocks, boulders, logs, sand, mud, a water-hole and special obstacles. A Super enduro course is much faster than a trials course and much slower than a supercross course.

Shane Watts, is an Australian former professional motorcycle enduro racer. He won the 1997 125cc World Enduro Championship as well as several Australian and American national off-road championships during his career. Known for his unpredictability and disregard to injury, many call Watts the "Travis Pastrana" of off-road racing. He has been featured in several films, including Common Ground and Moto3, a film featuring only top level riders. Not only was he a very successful racer, but he has also made a smooth transition into the business world. He has made several instructional DVDs and currently owns and operates the DirtWise Academy of Off-Road Riding.

Kurt William Caselli was an American professional off-road motorcycle racer. He was a three-time AMA Hare & Hound National Champion and the 2007 AMA Sportsman of the Year. He died in a racing accident during the 2013 Baja 1000 in Baja California, Mexico.

Joe Kopp is an American motorcycle racer. He has competed in the AMA Pro Flat Track Racing Championship since 1993, winning the AMA Pro Grand National Championship in 2000.

Drake McElroy is an X Games competitor from United States who has competed in the Championship since 1993, winning the AMA Pro Grand National Championship in 2000. Bronze Medal Winner in MotoX Freestyle at X Games VIII, held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 15–19 August 2002.

John Penton is an American professional motorcycle racer and entrepreneur who developed an enduro motorcycle brand that bore his name. A national champion enduro rider, he was an influential figure in the development of off-road motorcycle racing in the United States during the 1960s and 1970s. He also founded a successful off-road motorcycle boot and apparel company. Penton was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1998.

Zach Osborne is an American former professional motocross, supercross and enduro racer. He currently works as a television sports commentator. He competed in the AMA Motocross Championships from 2006 to 2007 and in the Motocross World Championships from 2008 to 2012, before returning to compete in the AMA Motocross Championships from 2013 to 2022. Osborne is notable for winning two AMA motocross national championships and, has represented the United States as a member of American teams at the Motocross des Nations, as well as in the International Six Days Enduro.
