David Lee Moroni (born 14 March 1938) is a Canadian former dancer and teacher.
Moroni was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He studied dance at the Classical Ballet Company with Nesta Toumine and performed with her local company where he also taught. [1] He also taught at the Lindenlea Municipal Ballet. [1] In 1964, he joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, was promoted to soloist in 1966, and became principal dancer in 1967. [1] In 1970, he joined the staff at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School where he helped to establish the Professional Division program and became its principal. [1] He also served as Associate Artistic Director of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet from 1976 to 1988. [1] He retired in 2003. [1] [2] Moroni received the Order of Canada in 1990 [3] [1] and received an Honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of Winnipeg in 2014. [1]

Moroni, who regularly performed the role of Drosselmeyer in the ballet company's production of The Nutcracker , appeared as Van Helsing in the film Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary , based on a ballet by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. [2]
Moroni now lives in Fredericton, New Brunswick with his partner, Paul Daigle. [2]

John Meehan is an Australian ballet director, choreographer, professor, and retired ballet dancer. He was educated at the Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane and studied at the Australian Ballet School. Meehan joined the Australian Ballet in 1970 and was promoted to principal dancer in 1974, creating roles in new works by Glen Tetley, John Butler, Garth Welch, Sir Robert Helpmann and Gillian Lynne as well as the role of Count Danilo in Ronald Hynd's The Merry Widow. In 1977 he performed as Guest Artist with American Ballet Theatre (ABT) joining the company as Principal Dancer in the fall of that year. He also danced as guest artist with The Boston Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and the New York City Ballet.

Eva von Gencsy was a dancer, choreographer and teacher. After immigrating to Canada from Europe she performed with prominent Canadian dance companies Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. After discovering jazz dance she founded a new style of dance called ballet-jazz. She created Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal in 1972 and became their first artistic director. After leaving the company she continued to teach and showcase her new style of dance across Canada and around the world. She died in Montreal of complications due to cardiac arrest.

Annette av Paul is a Swedish-Canadian ballet dancer who had a 30-year dance career performing, teaching, and directing companies across Canada. Av Paul was born in Rönninge, Sweden, about 30 kilometres outside Stockholm on February 11, 1944. Her mother was a dance and piano teacher and her father an artist and writer. She studied at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and in 1962, at the age of 17, was apprenticed to the company, becoming principal dancer in 1966.
Anna-Marie Holmes is a Canadian-born ballet dancer, educator and choreographer. Holmes received an Emmy Award in 2000 for her staging of Le Corsaire for PBS. She was the founder and co-artistic director for the International Academy of Dance Costa do Sol in Portugal.
