David O. Pam (February 1920 - 17 August 2014) was a British librarian and local historian known for his works on the history of Edmonton and Enfield and other areas of the former Edmonton Hundred.

David Pam was born in Edmonton in February 1920. [1] He spent his early life in a council house there. [2]
Pam married Maisie in 1949. They had two daughters. [3]
Pam was first a reference librarian for the former Borough of Edmonton and in 1976 the local history and museums officer for the London Borough of Enfield. He retired in May 1982 and afterwards devoted himself to writing the history of Edmonton and Enfield and other areas of the former Edmonton Hundred. He was president of the Edmonton Hundred Historical Society and appointed a fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 2006. [4]

The Fox is a public house in Palmers Green, north London, on the corner of Green Lanes and Fox Lane. A Fox pub and hotel has stood on the site for over 300 years. In 2004, The Fox featured in the film of J.K. Rowling's novel Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. In 2015, The Fox was the first Asset of Community Value to be registered in the London Borough of Enfield.
Alan Peter Dumayne was an historian of North London known for his lectures and books on the history of Southgate, Palmers Green, and Winchmore Hill.
Burleigh House was a house in Enfield, near London, that was built in the mid-17th century for the lawyer James Mayoe. It was constructed on the grounds of a house once owned by the merchant Benjamin Deicrowe Jr. that Mayoe obtained from the indebted Deicrowe through legal manoeuvring. Burleigh House, which did not receive that name until the 19th-century, was particularly known for its ornate iron gates. It was demolished in 1913 and shops and a cinema built on its grounds but is remembered in the modern Burleigh Way.
