David Williams is a Canadian politician from the Conservative Party of British Columbia.
In the 2024 British Columbia general election,he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in Salmon Arm-Shuswap. [1]
Salmon Arm is a city in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District of the Southern Interior of the Canadian province of British Columbia that has a population of 17,706 (2016). Salmon Arm was incorporated as a municipal district on May 15,2005. The city of Salmon Arm separated from the district in 1912,but was downgraded to a village in 1958. In 1970,the city of Salmon Arm once again reunited with the District Municipality. Salmon Arm once again became a city in 2005,and is now the location of the head offices of the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District. It is a tourist town in the summer,with many beaches,camping facilities and house boat rentals. Salmon Arm is home to the longest wooden freshwater wharf in North America.

Herald Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia,Canada. It is on the north shore of the Salmon Arm of Shuswap Lake,in the Southern Interior of British Columbia,Canada. The park is some 30 minutes northeast of the city of Salmon Arm. Herald Park contains a popular camping area,as well as a day use/picnic area. Large pebble beaches stretch along the southern boundary of the park. Walking and hiking trails exist throughout the park,including an easy 10-minute hike to the spectacular Margaret Falls.

Shuswap Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia,Canada. It is located in the community of Scotch Creek,on the north shore of the main arm of Shuswap Lake in the Southern Interior of BC. The park is about 45 minutes north of Salmon Arm,and about 1 hour east of Kamloops. The park contains a large campground with approximately 275 camping sites,as well as a large sand and gravel beach and day use/picnic area. It is a very popular park,with many thousands of people,primarily from BC and Alberta,camping there every year.

The Salmon Arm Silverbacks are a junior ice hockey team from Salmon Arm,British Columbia,Canada. They are a part of the British Columbia Hockey League. The Silverbacks returned a BCHL team to Shuswap/Salmon Arm 12 years after the previous team ceased operations,known at various times as the Totems,Blazers,and Tigers between 1982 and 1989.

The Neskonlith Indian Band is a First Nations government in the Canadian province of British Columbia located in the Shuswap district east of Kamloops. It is a member of the Shuswap Nation Tribal Council,one of two main governmental bodies of the Secwepemc (Shuswap) people. It was created when the government of the Colony of British Columbia established an Indian reserve system without the consent and without consultation with the indigenous population of the colony,in the 1860s. The Neskonlith Indian Band is named after Chief Neskonlith,and co-established by Chief Careguire,Chief Neskonlith's father. The original reserve created is what is known as the Neskonlith Douglas Reserve.
The Shuswap Nation Tribal Council is a First Nations Tribal Council in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Based in the Thompson and Shuswap Districts of the Central Interior,although including one band on the upper Columbia River in the East Kootenay region. It is one of two tribal councils of the Secwepemc people,the other being the Northern Shuswap Tribal Council of the Cariboo region farther to the north. The Shuswap Country,or simply the Shuswap and called Secwepemcúl̓ecw in Secwepemctsín,is a term used in the Canadian province of British Columbia to refer to the environs of Shuswap Lake. The upper reaches of the Shuswap basin,southeast of Shuswap Lake and northeast of the Okanagan,are generally considered to be part of Okanagan or of the Monashee Country rather than "the Shuswap". Roughly defined,the Shuswap Country begins on its west at the town of Chase,located on Little Shuswap Lake,west of which is the South Thompson area of the Thompson Country,and includes Adams Lake to the northwest of Shuswap Lake as well as communities in the Eagle River area as far as Craigellachie and/or Three Valley Gap,which is at the summit of Eagle Pass,beyond which eastwards is the Columbia Country.
