Davis Ansah Opoku (born 13 September 1984) is a Ghanaian politician,and a member of Parliament for Mpraeso Constituency [1] in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He serves as the Deputy Ranking Member of the Public Accounts Committee and a member of the works &Housing Committee of Parliament [2] In October 2021,the 40 under 40 awards ceremony adjudged Davis as a young leader in Governance and Government agencies.
Opuku was born in Accra, [3] 13 September 1984 [4] to Sampson Opoku of Kwahu Asakraka and Helena Opoku of Obomeng Kwahu.
Opuku attended Nkwatia Secondary School in Ghana and graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a degree in laboratory technology. He continued to the University of London to study Law and then to University of Leicester [5] where he completed his course in communication. He holds a certificate in strategic political communication from the International Academy for Leadership (IAF),Germany [6] and currently[ as of? ] in the final stage of his Legal Practice Course and Masters in Law at the University of Law.

Opoku was director of communications,then later director of operations for the Alliance for Accountable Governance [8] whose role was to expose some alleged rots during the NDC [9] term in office.
Opoku is a member of the pressure group Let My Vote Count Movement. [10]
In 2019 he did his national service at the parliament and was part of the National Mock Parliament of the Ghana @ 50 celebrations [11] and in 2021 became a full member of parliament for the Mpreaso Constituency. [12]
In 2020,he beat the current Eastern Region,Seth Kwame Acheampong to represent the New Patriotic Party in the 2020 general elections. [13] He further won the parliamentary elections to become the member of parliament for Mpraeso. [14]
Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (PRESEC) is a secondary boarding school for boys. It is located in Legon,Accra,Ghana. It was founded in 1938,under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast. The Basel missionary-theologian,Nicholas Timothy Clerk (1862–1961),who served as the first Synod Clerk of the Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast from 1918 to 1932,used his tenure to advocate for the establishment of the secondary school. The school has ties with its sister schools,Aburi Girls' Senior High School and Krobo Girls Senior High School.

The Mpraeso constituency is in the Eastern region of Ghana. The current member of Parliament for the constituency is Davis Ansah Opoku. He was elected on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and won a majority of 73.56%,25,064 votes more than the candidate closest in the race,to win the constituency election to become the MP. He succeeded Seth Kwame Acheampong who had represented the constituency from 2009 to 2021 in the 4th Republican parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
