Day Hall is a building on the Central Campus of Cornell University that currently houses the administration [1] and registrar. [2]
Day Hall was constructed in 1947. [3]
During the 1969 protests the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) group was planning to capture the Day Hall (an administrative building at the time). [4]
In 1993 Cornell's Latino students staged a peaceful protest and sit-in at Day Hall to raise awareness of these students' needs and had ripple effects nationwide, [5] [3] including the expansion of the Latino Studies Program and the creation of the Latino Living Center at Cornell. [6] [3]
