He is post graduate and has done Master of Arts. ^[3] He was the nominee of Bharatiya Janata Party for Mayor for Nagpur Municipal Corporation. ^{[4] [5]} He got 107 votes from 151 members. ^{[6] [7]} He is the successor of Sandeep Joshi after his resignation. ^{[8] [9] [10] [11]}
