Career

After getting his big break at the seminal Troll Nites [2] at the Sound Shaft, Heaven, [3] London in the late 1980s. Daz Saund then progressed to become resident DJ at the immensely popular Garage at Heaven nightclub. He then spent three years (1990–93) spinning the decks at the legendary Trade at Turnmills and was one of the original DJ's, [4] [5] where he made his mark as one of Britain's leading Techno artists. Daz's reputation rapidly spread throughout the UK, Europe and the Far East, playing at monumental events such as Love Parade, Mayday and Tribal Gathering in the UK. In 1995 Daz was voted Best International DJ of the year by Front Page Magazine, he remains at the forefront of today's techno dance music scene as a figure greatly admired world over.

Daz first ventured into the remix and production world in 1992 with a remix of 'Lets Rock'. He has worked with Trevor Rockcliffe under the guise of Black & Brown producing several singles, including 'Lick it'.

Since 1996 he has collaborated extensively with Ben Tisdall as Sound Associates, producing for labels such as Music Man Belgium, [6] Tortured Records and Missile Records [7] in the UK. He has recently been working on his own material due out on Eukatech Records. [8]

At the start of 2000, Daz returned to one of his favorite venues Turnmills, this time with a Sunday night residency nite called Habit where he played a blend of funky techno-dance music.

Daz has also launched on his own new record label "Resident Records" together with Richard Dearlove, otherwise known as Diddy, who produced the single "Give me love", [9] on Positiva Records.

He also played at Fabric (club) in London on the infamous DTPM nights and travels extensively around Europe, and recently co-hosts the successful Megawoof events. [10]

Dave Angel is an English techno musician. Angel was born in Chelsea, London, England. He is the son of a London-based jazz musician, and the elder brother of rapper Monie Love. He had an unorthodox musical education; his father influenced him deeply, as did his friends and his environment, including the radio. He listened not only to Miles Davis and Charlie Parker, but also to soul music and funk. Even though he was playing instruments at 14 years old, including percussion, his musical development was not easy or straightforward.

Sven Väth is a German DJ and electronic music producer. He is a three-time DJ Awards winner, and his career in electronic music spans over 30 years. The single "Electrica Salsa" with OFF launched his career in 1986. Referred to as "Papa Sven" by his fans, Sven Väth has made his mark in the music community by being one of Germany's pop stars in the nineties, running two night clubs in Germany, and starting his own company Cocoon, which encompasses a booking agency, record label, and a branch for events. He is recognized for cultivating the underground electronic music scene not just in Germany but in Ibiza as well, with his own night at Amnesia for eighteen years and after-parties at creative locations around the island. Sven Väth is a major proponent of vinyl, using only two decks and a mixer for his extensive DJ sets, his longest set having been 30 hours.

He was featured in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll seven years in a row and currently holds the record for the highest new entry since the poll began, achieved when he was voted 8th in 2000.

Uroš Umek, better known as DJ Umek or simply UMEK, is a Slovenian dance music producer and DJ. Musically active since 1993, he is the owner of several techno record labels. In 1999 he founded Consumer Recreation and Recycled Loops, the former of which he co-runs with Valentino Kanzyani. Recycled Loops formed the sublabel Earresistible Musick in 2001, and in 2007 Umek founded the large techno label 1605.
