DeAndre Lamount Haynes (born March 30, 1984) is an American assistant basketball coach under Coach Shaka Smart at Marquette University. He is a former basketball player and former assistant coach at the University of Maryland.
Haynes, a 6'2" point guard from Detroit, Michigan, came to Kent State from Southwestern High School in Detroit. Playing for the Golden Flashes from 2002 to 2006, Haynes scored 1,259 points and left as the school's all-time leader in assists (625) and steals (229). In his senior season of 2005–06, Haynes averaged 13 points per game and was named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year and an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press. He led the Golden Flashes to regular-season and MAC championships that season. [1]
After graduation, Haynes was not selected in the 2006 NBA draft. He instead signed in Belgium and played for the next six seasons in Belgium, Hungary, Germany and Finland.
Haynes retired from basketball in 2012 and became an assistant coach at Kent State under head coach Rob Senderoff. [2] Following the 2015–16 season, he moved to a similar role at fellow MAC program Toledo. [3] After joining the Illinois State Redbirds staff for a few months, he was hired by Michigan to serve as an assistant coach in August 2017. [4] [5]
The Kent State Golden Flashes football team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. The team is a member of the Mid-American Conference East division, and competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The Golden Flashes played their first game in 1920 and since 1969 have played their home games at Dix Stadium. Following the 2022 season, Kenni Burns was selected as head coach for the Golden Flashes.

He was most recently employed as the assistant general manager of the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the president and general manager of the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League, the affiliate of the Pistons. He previously served as the head men's basketball coach for the Eastern Michigan Eagles from 2011 to 2021.
The 2009–10 Mid-American Conference men's basketball season was the 64th college basketball season in the conference's existence. The conference features 12 teams in two divisions, East and West, who compete for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season and tournament titles. Kent State won the MAC regular season title with a record of 13–3. Ninth-seeded Ohio won the MAC tournament received the MAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship tournament. There they defeated Georgetown 97–83 before losing to Tennessee in the second round. Armon Bassett of Ohio was named the tournament MVP.
Justin Durel Ingram is an American former professional basketball player who is currently an associate head coach for the Toledo Rockets men's basketball team. He most recently served as the Assistant Head Coach for the Olivet Comets men's basketball team. He most recently played for Lions de Geneve of the Ligue Nationale de Basketball. He played college basketball for the University of Toledo where he earned Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year honors, as well as being named to the All-Freshman team and All-Conference first and second teams. From 2007 to 2016, he played for numerous LNB Pro B teams, before playing in top leagues in Hungary, Estonia, Greece and Switzerland.

Paul Jeffrey Haynes III is an American college football coach and former player. He is the cornerbacks coach for the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a position he has held since 2023. He was the head football coach at Kent State University from 2013 to 2017. Haynes was an assistant coach at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels for 20 years, including stints as defensive coordinator at Ohio State University and the University of Arkansas. Before his coaching career, he was a four-year letterman as a defensive back at Kent State between 1987 and 1991.
Robert Andrew Senderoff is the head men's basketball coach at Kent State University. The winningest and longest-tenured coach in program history, he has led the Flashes to a Mid-American Conference regular season title as well as NCAA Tournament appearances in 2017 and 2023.
