De Novo Dahl is an Indie rock group from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Formed in 2001, they were signed to Roadrunner Records and released from their contract in 2009. They are currently signed to Theory 8 Records.

History

The band was formed in 2001 by Joel Dahl, Serai Zaffiro, Derek Sandidge, Joey Andrews, Jon Schneck (later replaced by David Carney), and Mark Bond. The band took their name from the Latin words for "The New" and the last name of author Roald Dahl. [1] Keyboardist Mark Bond left the group amicably in 2006 and now plays keyboard for The Features. He was replaced by Matthew Hungate. The group signed to Roadrunner Records in 2007. [2] In 2008, the band was asked by Warner Bros. to record a theme song for the film Speed Racer , but the song was rejected by the Wachowskis. [3]

Members of De Novo Dahl appeared as a music group called Fall Formal in the 2008-released film Make-out with Violence . David Carney and Matthew Hungate also contributed to the music in the film.

Joey Jordison American musician

Nathan Jonas "Joey" Jordison, is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the former drummer, co-songwriter and one of the founding members of the heavy metal band Slipknot as well as guitarist for horror punk band Murderdolls. Jordison played in Slipknot since their formation in 1995 until his departure from the band in December 2013. He was the drummer and founder of Scar the Martyr, which formed in 2013 and disbanded in 2016. He currently plays with the band Sinsaenum.

<i>Roadrunner United</i>

Roadrunner United was a project organized by American heavy metal record label Roadrunner Records to celebrate its 25th anniversary. It culminated in an album released worldwide on October 11, 2005, entitled The All-Star Sessions. Four "team captains" were chosen to lead 57 artists from 45 past and present Roadrunner bands, and produce and oversee the album's 18 tracks: then-Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, Trivium frontman and guitarist Matt Heafy, Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares, and Machine Head frontman and guitarist Robb Flynn. The project was the brainchild of Roadrunner UK general manager Mark Palmer and Roadrunner USA VP of A&R Monte Conner. The album project was coordinated by Lora Richardson and was mixed by Colin Richardson and Andy Sneap. The All-Star Sessions spawned one single and music video. The DVD included with the CD purchase is a documentary of the "Making Of" the songs. It features the sessions of the four team captains making their songs.

Sanctity (band)

Sanctity was an American thrash metal band from Asheville, North Carolina, United States. They formed in 1998 and released Road to Bloodshed on April 24, 2007. They were in the midst of writing material for another album, with an undisclosed new vocalist, which did not have a chance to come to fruition before the band's dissolution in 2008. Founder, songwriter and lead guitarist Zeff now has a separate project named Graveyard Fields and Jeremy, Jared and Derek also have a project together.

"Make Up Your Mind" is a song by Canadian rock group Theory of a Deadman and is the second single from their eponymous debut album (2002).
