As Cities Burn was an American post-hardcore band from Mandeville, Louisiana, that formed in 2002 and has released four studio albums. Their debut, Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest, was released in 2005. Two years later, they released Come Now Sleep. Then, in 2009, As Cities Burn released their third album, Hell or High Water. The band had performed from 2011 through 2016, but drummer Aaron Lunsford announced, on August 16, 2016, that the group disbanded. In December 2017, As Cities Burn reunited and went on tour to open up for Emery, and announced that they were staying together and writing new music.

It was released by Lifeforce Records on 17 November 2008 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Japan, and on 20 January 2009 in the United States. The band has released five albums, and toured Europe with Solefald in 2013 and My Silent Wake in 2010. In Vain has also played concerts in Norway, and also played at the Inferno Metal Festival in 2013.
The Arsonist is the sixth full-length studio album by Deadlock. It was released on July 26, 2013, and is the first to have John Gahlert on harsh vocals, following the departure of Johannes Prem and the first to feature Ferdinand Rewicki on guitar, replacing Gert Rymen who left on February 8, 2013. It is also the last album to feature Tobias Graf on drums. Graf left the band on April 28, 2014, and died that same year on September 4 at the age of 35.
