She was a member of the Vereniging tot Bevordering der Grafische Kunst (VBGK) (Association for the Promotion of Graphic Art). [3] Her work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale Onze Kunst van Heden (Our Art of Today) at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. [4] During the World War II occupation of the Netherlands Duyvis declined to register with the German Nederlandsche Kultuurkamer but was able to continue earning a living as an artist. [3]
