Dr. Deborah Ann Travis "D. Ann" Honeycutt (born August 8, 1947) [1] is an American politician and medical doctor. Honeycutt was the Republican Party nominee in Georgia's 13th congressional district in 2006 and 2008. She attended the 2008 Republican National Convention. [2] In 2004, Honeycutt was President of the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians and in 2005 she served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Georgian Academy. [3]
Honeycutt is a board certified family medicine physician who earned university and professional degrees from the University of Illinois School of Medicine and Family Practice Residency Program. She is the past Medical Director of Spelman College Health Services.
Honeycutt has also served as Medical Director at the Good Shepherd Clinic, the free clinic in Morrow. She practiced medicine at the offices of Georgia Baptist Family Doctor in Palmetto, Georgia and had a solo private practice at Five Points Family Practice in Fairburn, Georgia.
She served a five-year appointment to the American Academy of Family Physicians Commission on Education. He currently is the Georgia State Delegate to the American Academy.
Her husband is Dr. Andrew Honeycutt, a Harvard University Doctor of Business Administration and Distinguished Professor of Business at Shorter University.
In 2006, Honeycutt was the Republican nominee and lost by 38 percent in Georgia's 13th Congressional District congressional elections. Honeycutt raised $1,337,777, of which $1,326,777 came from individuals and $11,000 from political action committees. Most of the money she raised went to BMW Direct, a Washington direct-mail firm that works for Republican candidates. [4]
In 2008, Honeycutt was again defeated by incumbent David Scott in the 13th Congressional district, despite an edge in fundraising. Honeycutt raised over $4.7 million to her opponent's $1.1 million, [5] yet lost 69 percent to 31 percent. [6] She had run unopposed in the Republican primary.
In 2010, unlike 2006 and 2008, there were several candidates competing for the Republican nomination for the 13th Congressional District. Honeycutt came in second in the primary, [7] and lost to frontrunner Mike Crane in the runoff election that followed. [8] Crane in turn lost to incumbent David Scott. [9]
Anne Meagher Northup is an American Republican politician and educator from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. From 1997 to 2007, she represented the Louisville-centered 3rd congressional district of Kentucky in the United States House of Representatives, where she served on the powerful House Appropriations Committee. She lost reelection to Democrat John Yarmuth in the 2006 election. She then ran for governor, losing by 15 points to embattled Governor of Kentucky Ernie Fletcher in the Republican primary election for the 2007 Kentucky gubernatorial election. Prior to her election to the United States House of Representatives, Northup had served in the Kentucky House of Representatives. Northup ran again for her old congressional seat in the 2008 election, losing again to Yarmuth.
Kyle Janek, is an American physician and former Republican member of the Texas Senate, having represented District 17 from 2003 until June 2, 2008. The district includes portions of Harris, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston, and Jefferson counties. Janek was not a candidate for renomination to the state Senate in the Republican primary held on March 4.
Shelley Sekula-Gibbs is an American physician and politician, who serves as a director of The Woodlands, Texas Township board of directors. She served as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Texas's 22nd congressional district in 2006. A Republican, she won the special election to fill the seat for the last few weeks of the 109th United States Congress. She previously served as a city councilwoman in Houston, Texas from 2002 to 2006.

Heinz was tasked with helping Secretary Kathleen Sebelius with the roll-out of the Affordable Care Act, with one aspect of his job to work with LGBT organizations across the country as they inform their members of their options in each state. For one or two weekends per month, Heinz continued his work as a hospitalist in Tucson, Arizona. Heinz left the position in March 2015.

After leaving Congress in 2017, he served for two years in the administration as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health Information Technology Reform and then served as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development from March 2019 to 2020. In March 2020, he was appointed to a position in the White House as Assistant to the President for Planning and Implementation.
