Test cricket is a form of first-class cricket played at international level between teams representing full member countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC). A match consists of four innings and is scheduled to last for up to five days. In the past,some Test matches had no time limit and were called Timeless Tests. The term "test match" was originally coined in 1861–62 but in a different context.
The Sri Lanka men's national cricket team,nicknamed The Lions,represents Sri Lanka in men's international cricket. Floodlit first-class cricket was first played in 1994,when the concept was tried during the Sheffield Shield. Day/night cricket is now commonplace in one-day cricket and Twenty20 cricket. For instance,all 27 matches in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 were day/night matches,as were most matches in the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

The 2016–17 Ranji Trophy was the 83rd season of the Ranji Trophy,the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. Unlike previous seasons,the 2016–17 tournament was played at neutral venues. Captains and coaches were supportive of the change. Chhattisgarh cricket team made their debut in the competition,becoming the 28th team to compete in this edition of the Ranji Trophy. Mumbai were the defending champions. Gujarat beat Mumbai in the final by 5 wickets to win their first title.
The 2018–19 Ranji Trophy was the 85th season of the Ranji Trophy,the premier first-class cricket tournament that took place in India between November 2018 and February 2019. Vidarbha were the defending champions. The final took place between Vidarbha and Saurashtra,starting on 3 February 2019. Vidarbha defeated Saurashtra by 78 runs in the final,to become the sixth team in the tournament's history to retain their title.
Aryan Bora is an Indian cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 12 February 2020,for Meghalaya in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy. He made his List A debut on 8 December 2021,for Meghalaya in the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
