Deluxe City Campaign Set is a campaign setting that describes the New York of the Marvel Universe in great detail. One book (96 pages) covers what the GM needs to know to run a campaign based in New York City; the second book (64 pages) contains several scenarios set in New York City. [1]

In 1984, TSR acquired the license to publish a role-playing game based on characters from Marvel Comics. The result was the very popular Marvel Super Heroes: The Heroic Role-Playing Game . This was followed two years later by a greatly expanded Marvel Superheroes Advanced Game . TSR published many supplements for this game, including Deluxe City Campaign Set. This was published by TSR in 1989 as a boxed set containing a 96-page book, a 64-page book, and four large color maps. [1]
Writing in The Complete Guide to Role-Playing Games , Rick Swan noted that this product "provides all the maps, encounters, and staging tips necessary for the putting together an extended campaign set in New York City." Swan went on to call this "one of the best treatments of a contemporary setting ever published." [2]
In Issue 49 of Casus Belli , Frederic Blayo highlighted Deluxe City Campaign Set as "a box that describes the most important city in the universe: New York!" [3]
The Complete Psionics Handbook is a supplemental rulebook for the 2nd edition of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, published in 1991 by TSR, Inc.
GURPS Magic is a source book for the GURPS role-playing game from Steve Jackson Games that provides in depth coverage of magic in the context of GURPS. The first edition was published in 1989. The book expands on the material outlined in the Basic Set, provides alternative forms of magic for gamemasters to use, and contains much more material. A second edition of the book was published in 1994, and a third edition for the fourth edition of GURPS was published in 2004. The first two editions received positive reviews in game periodicals including Games International, Dragon, and White Wolf.

Le Monde des Ténèbres: France is a tabletop role-playing game supplement published in French by Ludis International in January 1997, for use with the games in White Wolf Publishing's World of Darkness series. It interprets France for the series' gothic-punk setting, and presents information on the region related to vampires, werewolves, mages, wraiths, and changelings, along with story hooks and pre-made characters, and introduces two new types of fae to the series. Ludis International planned to follow it with a book about Paris in June 1997, but this never materialized, and the publisher closed down a year later.
