Demi Renee Harman (born 11 March 1993) is an Australian actress and television presenter. She is perhaps best known for her role as Sasha Bezmel in Home and Away . She was a contestant on the first series of Celebrity Splash! . Following her departure from Home and Away in 2015, Harman co-hosted Better Homes and Gardens and played Riley Hart in television drama Winners & Losers .
Harman was born in Brisbane, Australia in 1993 to an American father and an Australian mother, Carrie, who formerly worked as a weather girl on the Seven Network. She is the third of four children. Her older sister is American-Australian actress Brooke Harman, and she also has an older brother, Beau, and younger sister, Paige. When Harman was growing up, she lived between the United States and Australia, and at the age of nine she moved to Melbourne when her sister Brooke began working on television series Pirate Islands . Harman finished high school at Brisbane Adventist College in 2010 and was accepted into the University of Queensland for an arts/Japanese course. Japanese culture has been a great influence in her life after a holiday to Japan. [2]
Harman studied drama in high school and took Tom McSweeney acting classes. She began acting in 2010 with a role in Australian horror film Still Waters between 2010 and 2011.
In August 2011, Harman joined the main cast of Australian television soap opera Home and Away as rebellious teenager Sasha Bezmel, the illegitimate daughter of Sid Walker. [3] Harman relocated to Sydney for the role. [2] [4]
In 2013, Harman was a contestant in the first Australian season of Celebrity Splash! . [5] The following year, Harman announced her departure from Home and Away. She joined the presenting team of Better Homes and Gardens in 2015. [6] That same year, she also joined the cast of Winners & Losers as Riley Hart. The role required her to relocate to Melbourne. [7]
In 2021 Harman starred in Stan's original film Christmas on the Farm. [8]
Harman dated her former Home and Away co-star Alec Snow, who played Matt Page from 2013 to 2017. [9] [10] Harman announced her engagement to producer Andrew Brooks in July 2019, [11] and they married in California in January 2022. [12] In March 2023, Harman and Brooks announced they were expecting their first child, [13] and Harman gave birth to their son in early August. [14]

Katherine Leigh Ritchie is an Australian actress, radio presenter, and children's author. She is best known for her long-running role as original character Sally Fletcher on the television soap opera Home and Away, for which she won two Gold Logie awards. She played the character for 20 years, appearing from the pilot episode in 1988 until 2008. She currently co-hosts Nova 96.9's breakfast show Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie alongside Ryan Fitzgerald and Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli. Ritchie was part of Nova FM's national drive show, Kate, Tim & Joel with Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey from 2014 until 2023.
Jodi Lee Gordon is an Australian actress and model. From 2005 to 2010 she portrayed Martha MacKenzie in Home and Away. Gordon won the Logie Award for Most Popular New Female Talent in 2006. Gordon competed in the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars and made her debut feature film appearance in The Cup (2011). She has also appeared in Underbelly: Badness and Camp. From 2016 to 2023, Gordon played English teacher Elly Conway in Neighbours.

Irene Roberts is a fictional character from the Australian television soap opera Home and Away. She was originally played by actress Jacqy Phillips from her introduction in Episode 887 shown on 29 October 1991, until 13 May 1992. Following Phillips' departure, the part was recast to Lynne McGranger, who debuted in Episode 1147, broadcast on 12 January 1993. Irene was initially a recurring character, but on 7 October 1993 McGranger was promoted to the regular cast. McGranger is one of the longest-serving cast members on the show.

Winners & Losers is an Australian television drama series first broadcast on the Seven Network on 22 March 2011. It was created by the producers of Packed to the Rafters and is aired in the show's former time slot. Winners & Losers focuses on the lives of four women living in Melbourne, after they win a large amount of money in the Oz Lotto. Seven renewed Winners & Losers for a second season in July 2011 and it began airing from 26 June 2012. Two months later, it was announced the series had been renewed for a third season. A fourth season was confirmed on 19 December 2013. A fifth season was confirmed on 3 December 2014.
Dexter "Dex" Walker is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Home and Away, played by Charles Cottier. He made his first screen appearance during the episode broadcast on 30 July 2009. Tom Green originated the role, but when the Walker family returned in 2010, Cottier took over the part. Cottier quit the role in early 2013 and Dexter made his last appearance on 13 November 2013.

The storyline was part of producer Lucy Addario's vision for Home and Away to revisit the issues of fostering. Maddy settles into the local school and her relationship with Spencer comes to an end. Following this the character begins to misbehave and is involved in a car accident. The writers then paired her up with new character Josh Barrett and their relationship dramas took Maddy through into her second year in the series.
Christopher Eugene "Chris" Harrington is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Home and Away, played by Johnny Ruffo. The character made his first screen appearance on 1 April 2013. He was introduced as the brother of Spencer Harrington. Ruffo is a well-known professional singer and had previously auditioned for two other roles in the show. He was initially a guest character, but Ruffo was later promoted to the regular cast. With some personality traits resembling his own, Ruffo believed the character was especially written for him. Matt Page is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Home and Away, played by Alec Snow. The character made his first screen appearance on 21 October 2013. Snow won the role after auditioning in early 2013. Originally contracted for a three-month guest role, producers signed him permanently. Matt's backstory detailed him leading a tough life growing up in the Mangrove River area. He arrives to study at Summer Bay High following the school burning down. Matt is characterised as a troublemaker who lacks self-belief because of his upbringing. No one had ever given him the attention he needed to better his life. He also has a keen interest in music which is explored during his tenure. Initially bullying other characters, writers paired him romantically with Sasha Bezmel and provided a home for the character with Leah Patterson-Baker. Alongside these characters Matt is depicted on a journey trying to turn his life around.
The fifth and final season of the television drama series Winners & Losers premiered on 5 July 2016 on the Seven Network in Australia. In season five, friendship and love will triumph as Jenny, Frances, Sophie and Riley support each other through happiness and heartache, delivering the show's most emotional season yet. Filming for the season began in March 2015 and concluded in July 2015.
